No Strings *COMPLETE*

Chapter Six

     The next night, Lilli and i were watching 13 reasons why. We were on the part where Clay Jenson starts yelling at Hannah for him not knowing what was going on with her. Then all of a sudden, Nathan and Sammi start fighting loud enough to be heard over the T.V. Not long after, Alec knocks on the door. 

     "Come in!" i yell. Alec walks in and asks "What the fuck if with them?" "Dont know." Lilli says as i shrug my shoulders. "Well they just ruined my mood." Lilli says before she gets off of the bed and walks over to Alec, pecks him on the cheek, and walks out. Then Nathaniel and Sammi get quiet and Nathaniel slams his bedroom door closed and walks downstairs. "Im gonna go check on him" Alec says, pointing his thumb back at Nathan and walks out. I then turn my T.V. off.

     My curiousity gets the best of me, so i pull out my laptop and log in. Where the fuck did she come from? Why is she just now reappearing? It doesnt make any sense. 

     I bring up the google browser and type in Samantha Taylien. Within seconds Im over loaded with dozens of social media accounts and news reports. Damn it, too many to tell whats her and not. I scroll through plenty of violent articles, all of which have the name to match, but no pictures to confirm that my findings were correct.

  I get tired of scrolling and click on a random news article. I'm never going to prove that she's crazy at this rate.

   I skim though the article, not really expecting to find anything. Three die in a house fire, two adults, a little girl. Well, that's sad. I scroll a little further. Suspected foulplay. Uhm...Uh-Oh. One surviver, a little girl-age six... Samantha Taylien, and there it is. A younger, creepier version. 

     Fuck! Nathan, Alec, and Lilli need to see this shit. I click print and hurry to Alec's room to find Lilli. I knock quietly and rapidly, afraid to disturb the crazy bitch only a few rooms away. No answer, I crack the door open. "Lilli? Lilli, are you in here? I need to talk to you!" I whisper, peeking my head inside the room. The bed is empty and she is nowhere to be found. Where the hell could she be?

     I hurry downstairs. No sign of her in the foyer, or the kitchen. "Alec? Nate! Where are you? I cant find-." I'm cut off by nearly running them over as they stand in the living room, staring dumb foundedly at the T.V. and there it is. 

     In big white letters on the screen reads; Mental Patient Escapes From Woods County Psychiatric Facility. A picture of Sammi flashes across the screen. I wait for the explosion from Nathan, but nothing happens.

     "Well, that will make it easier to show you this. " i say, shoving the printed news report into  Nate's hands. "You're girlfriend is a fucking psycho, and as for you're girlfriend." i say, turning to Alec, " I can't find her anywhere. Have you seen her?" He shakes his head.

     "She said she was going to bed. i told her i would be in there after I checked on Nate. Is she not in our room?" "No, she's not. Im getting worried." "Are you  saying that you think Sammi did something to her?" Nathan asks. I shrug."Maybe. I don't want to wait til its too late  to do something about it." "I'll check my room to see if Sammi is in there. Stay here with Alec, if she is as dangerous as you think, I dont want you to get hurt." Oh, whatever.

     He darts upstairs, and is gone about a minute before he reappears. "She isnt up there. But... If Lilli is the one she took, then I think I know where she took her.

     He heads for the front door. "You're not going alone!" I say, following him. "Skilar, stay here. I'll go with him. Watch the news for any updates and call 9-1-1 if you see her." Alec says, putting a hand on my shoulder to hold me back, and walking after Nathan. "I'm not helpless! I can help you guys find her!." I exclaim. "I dont want you to get hurt." they say in unison, then looking at each other. Alec doesn't look suspicious of Nathan. "Stay here, baby sister. I love you." Alec says, giving me a quick hug and rushing out the door behind Nate.

     I wait for a couple of minutes once they're out the door, then follow them. I'm not going to stand around and wait when I could be looking for Lilli.

I watch as they split up and search for Lilli. I head for the docks, maybe Sammi tried to drown her? I need to stop thinking like that. If I was crazy and wanted to kidnap someone, where would I take them?

     I reach the docks and... Nothing. No Sammi, no Lilli, then i hear footsteps behind me. 

     "Ski, I told you to stay inside!" Nathan says. "I'm trying to help find my friend, because YOUR psycho girlfriend did something with her!" He gives me a look as if to say 'Now's not the time to start pointing fingers.' "Come on," He mumbles, "I think I know where she took her."

     I follow him as he leads me to Alec, pounding on the old boat house door. Nathan runs over to him. 

     "The door is locked!" Alec shouts. "Lilli! Lilli! Baby, are you in there?"

"Alec, move!" Nathan demands. As soon as Alec does so, Nathan's body goes crashing into the weak door. "Oh fuck!" I shout as Nathan goes tumbling to the ground.
