The Movie

Kim's POV

Marinette and Adrien walk away hand in hand like nothing happened. I turn to walk away and see Alix glaring at the couple.

"What are you doing here?" I ask.

"What," She says jumping a little, "oh, I had to talk to Marinette. What are you doing here?"

"I had to talk to Adrien." I answer. We stop talking and an awkward silence fills the air. I look at Alix. She looks so beautiful. Before I know what I'm doing I blurt out, "Hey Alix, do you want to go see that zombie movie that just came out?"

"Like on a date?" She asks looking... hopeful?

"Y-yeah," I say. Crap why am I stuttering. I'm not Marinette!

"Sure, Hercules. Besides, I bet you'll get scared before I do." She says smirking.

"Pff, I never get scared so you're going to lose that bet." I reply confidently.

"Last one to the theater has to buy the tickets and snacks!" Alix yells skating away.

"No fair, you got a head start!" I yell chasing after her. We race down the sidewalk dodging people the best we can. Soon I've caught up to her. We run/skate side by side for the rest of the way. When the theater comes into view I put on an extra burst of speed and make it to the theater just a second before Alix.

"Ha!" I gloat smirking. "I would like a large drink and popcorn please,"

"Ok, you do deserve a reward for accomplishing this amazing feat!" She says sarcastically, "Besides, it won't happen again."

"I believe that's what you said last time I won, but look at that, I won again." I mock walking into the theater. Alix skates in after me and goes to buy the tickets while I wait in line to get the snacks. When I am next in line to get snacks, Alix skates up to me holding two tickets. She hands me one than buys the snacks. We walk into the room where the movie will be playing with a jumbo popcorn and two large drinks. We sit in our seats and watch the previews. Soon the movie starts. The opening scene shows two scientists doing an experiment. The camera switches views showing what the scientists are working on. A spider. An explosion on the screen lights up the room, when the smoke clears it shows the two scientists laying on the floor and a very big, very zombie like spider running out of the room.

***Time Skip***

Alix and I walk out of the theater. She is laughing and I am visibly shaking.

"Why spiders?" I mutter, "It could have been anything, but no they had to have zombie spiders!"

"Kim? Are you okay?" Alix asks looking concerned.

"Of course I am. It takes more than a movie to rattle me," I say as confidently as possible.

"Ok, see you tomorrow at school," She says skating off. I watch her small form skate away mentally berating myself. Why do I have to be such a scaredy cat! I literally screamed at that one part! If Alix even remotely liked me before she definitely won't anymore. She's so brave. She wouldn't want to have someone who is scared of spiders like me to ever be her boyfriend.

I shake my head trying to clear my thoughts. I start walking home, my pace increasing slightly until I'm full out sprinting.

Alix POV

I skate away from Kim my mind still with him. He seemed so freaked out during and after the movie. It shocked me at first. I always thought that Kim was fearless, but I now realize how stupid that thinking was. Everyone is scared of something. I reach my house and walk in. I really hope he will be ok.
