Jason POV

I ran upstairs, following Alex. My new discovery was still occuping half of my mind. The other half was "Why has everything trembled? What happens?" But I was more concentrated in the first.

Summarizing: Alex is a Roman demigod of unknown godly parentage (Mind note: I have to think in the riddle and find it out) sent by Lupa, the wolf goddess, to Camp Half-Blood, a camp for Greek demigods, to help us against a new danger.

I could understand more or less why was she sent to Camp Half-Blood, instead of Camp Jupiter, just not to reveal who she is. We also had to find out if she was Greek or Roman and being sent to Camp Half-Blood favoured that she could be mistaken for a Greek.

And also... Why are her eyes so familiar to me? We've just met and it seems like I've already seen them before.

Changing topic, I arrived to the deck. Everyone was there. Suddenly, Leo came out from the controls' room.

"Leo, what was that?" Piper asked

"A little collision. It seems that we were flying too low" Leo said

I went to where Alex was standing. I looked to the landscape that was below the Argo. It was a big extension of white.

"Guys" Leo announced "Welcome to Greenland"

I decided to try to talk to Alex.

"Why did you say that?" I asked

"I repeat the same, why do you think I said it, Grace?" She answered

I tried to think. She said that before my sister Thalia and us, she hadn't trusted anyone like my sister. But the think is that when she told us how she met Thalia, she said that she was with more demigods. And if she meant that, she wouldn't have said "anyone like her". It'd have been "anyone like me". That just left me...

"You meant Greek demigods" I said

She nodded

"But why?"

"I had, or well, I still have" she started "problems with some demigods here in Europe"

"What happens with them?" I asked

"To put it lightly, Grace, the one who seems to be the leader is like... Octavian" She said "Some seem nice but him and the girl who's closer to him... they're like him. Exactly the same. Just changing sides. They're always trying to attack us" She sighed "That's why..."

"That's why you don't really trust Greeks" I interrupted her "But the ones at Camp Half-Blood, at least the ones I know, are nice people"

"I know" she said "I trust the ones here. Like I trust Thalia"

"You were uncomfortable with us because of that?" I asked

"A bit. It'd be worst if I'd be alone with Greeks I don't know" She said "I knew you really didn't trust me because I was hidding information. Even though, I tried to be closer to the Romans. Because you're like me, Grace. The only Roman I don't like is Octavian"

"It's good that he's just a legacy. If he was a demigod..." I said

"It's Apollo, so his attacking power would be archery" She said "He seems weak even he's older but... at the same time, you can feel he'd be a dangerous enemy"

I nodded "The good point is that he doesn't have any power now. He's still the augur, but before he was the First Cohort's centurion. He was dismissed"

"Dismissed why?"

I tried to remember.

"He disobeyed the praetor's orders during the Gigants' war" I said "He attacked the Greeks and put himself the name 'Pontifex Maximus'"

"Oh" she said "Exactly like Lucas... In a more extreme way"

"Lucas?" I asked, but before she answered, a cold wind started blowing.

It wasn't a usual wind. It had something different, somehow. I felt like I had any control over it.

"Was passiert jetzt?" Alex mumbled. I didn't understand anything.

Suddenly, a shadow appeared in the deck and it went directly to Hazel, who crushed it with her spatha.

Other shadows started appearing around us. Everyone took their weapons out: Annabeth and Piper, their daggers, Frank, his bow and his spear, Percy, his bronze sword Anaklusmos (that in Ancient Greek meant Riptide), Leo, a... hammer? and Alex and me, our golden gladius.

At first, the shadows seemed easy to kill. But more and more kept appearing. One we kill, two appear in its place.

Hazel tried to use her powers over riches, but it seems that in Greenland there aren't riches underground. Leo threw some fire, but the shadows he burnt still died, divided in two and attacked again. Percy tried to control water. The wind couldn't be controlled, neither Percy or me could do it. Piper tried charmspeaking, but it didn't work.

The time fighting seemed an eternity. Shadows were endless and we were weakening.

We couldn't stand for so long. Piper and Annabeth were already in the floor. Leo, Percy and Hazel were standing with a hand in the floor helping to mantain balance. Frank, Alex and me were barely standing.

The shadows started melting, becoming dust. And the dark dust started to fuse with the wind.

"What the Hades?" I whispered.

Percy and Piper somehow seemed to know what was happening and it wasn't good at all.

A cold and dark hurricane started forming around the Argo. We couldn't move as we were exhausted so we just looked to the hurricane, waiting for something to happen.

Suddenly a hole was made in the hurricane. From it, erupted a cold, strong and dark wind. It went directly to us and hit Leo, who crushed with Frank (who was standing behind him) and both flew out of the Argo while Leo shouted "THIS ISN'T COOL AT ALL!"

"Frank! Leo!" Hazel cried

The hole of the hurricane disappeared but the wind didn't calm down. Another hole was made, a new wind came out and hit Piper and Hazel, making them fly out of the ship too.

The hole disappeared again. But this time, two appeared instead. Two new strong winds came out. The first hit Annabeth, making her collide with Percy. The second pushed Alex who fell onto me. Both winds pushed us out of the ship, in different directions.

While being pushed, the Argo II and Greenland's ice seemed to get further. I felt my vision blurriying. The wind was weakening us even more.

I also felt Alex by my side. She seemed tired when she looked at me.

"I...can't...anymore...Gra...ce" she mumbled, closing her beautiful eyes (they were beautiful, I have to admit it) and falling unconcious.

I grabbed her, but my eyes also started to close. I tried to keep them open but I didn't find the strength to do so.

I was tired. I couldn't anymore. And my eyes closed and I fell into the black.
