I wake up the following day feeling better than ever. There's a damp, warm washcloth on my forehead and I'm tucked under my blankets. Hoseok is no where to be seen, and I assume he's either around the house or at school.

What time is it?

Luckily my phone is right on the nightstand and I lay the washcloth down and pick up the device.

1:23 PM

My eyes nearly come out of their sockets as I spring from the bed and hurry to change into a fresh pair of clothes and run down stairs.

Hoseok is sitting on the couch watching a television program, and he types away on his phone simultaneously.

As my feet walk behind him, he notices and turns around.

"Hey, morning," He smiles, turning around on the couch so he can look at me. "Your bed head looks cute."

My hands unkowingly go to my hair and I try to brush down my unruly knots.

"Its not morning it's one in the afternoon!" I scold him. "Why didn't you wake me up? We're missing school!"

"Would you relax?" He stands up and walks around the couch to lean above me. "You were sick, and you needed the rest. Everyone's been worrying about you all day."

"What?" I ask, unsure of what he means.

"Just look," He unlocks his phone and holds it out so that I can see. There's six ongoing messages, each one asking about my condition or how I'm feeling.

The last person to send him a message was Hyungwon, who seems especially worried.

I didn't even message him like he asked.

"See? Everyone's caring about you," He states. "And if you're worrying about missed work, it's all over there."

I follow his finger to where he's pointing, and it's a couple of papers on the coffee table.

"That's my work for today?" I walk over to the table and examine each paper.

"Thank you," I give a sincere smile towards him. "And thanks for taking care of me last night. It means a lot."

I sure am thanking him a lot today.

"It's no problem," I watch him smile. "I'm just helping out a friend."

I give him an unrecognizable look. "We're...friends?" I ask, not even being aware of it.

He nods, his hands going into his pockets. "I'd say we're friends," He grins, showing his gums. "Helping each other out is what friends do. Look, my eye is even better!"

He moves his bangs over to showcase his eyebrow thats all patched up.

"There's not even a scar!" He laughs.

I smile as well, a warm feeling coming from the pit of my stomach. What is it about him that can make a smile come to my face so quickly?

My phone begins to buzz in my hand and I look down at the caller ID.

"Who is it?" He asks, raising his eyebrows.

"Its my mom," I answer, sliding the screen and putting the phone to my ear.

"Hey mom," I start. "What's wrong?"

"Hi honey!" She cheers into the speaker. "Nothing's wrong! Why would you assume that so quickly?"

I smile into the device, even though she's unaware.

"How have you and Wonho been doing?" She suddenly asks and my eyes flash to Hoseok who stands awkwardly in the room.
