Chapter 18

Katsumi POV

"But I thought her magic comes from the mark on her forehead." I said as Polyushiko shook her head.

"Kemuri make a contract with me." I said but she ignored me and I looked at Polyushiko.

I walked out with a worried look on my face until I bumped into Sting who happened to be walking around. He saw me and I walked past him not in the mood to talk. As I got back to the arena everyone saw me and they asked me what was wrong.

"Kemuri doesn't have a lot of time to live if she doesn't make a new contract with a mage for magic." I explained.

"Isn't Kemuri a fox?" Lucy asked.

"Yeah but she is a deity and she is also part spirit and the marking on her forehead is where she keeps the magic stored over time. The last contract she did was with my mom when I was only five." I said as tears appeared in my eyes and Lucy was calming me down.

That night I visited Kemuri and she said she would tell me her decision tomorrow. I was walking back until I saw Natsu talking to someone. It was Yukino from Sabertooth and Natsu had angry look on his face as he ran off. This isn't good. I took off running after him. I finally caught up and heard a loud boom from the inn the  Sabertooth was staying. I ran in as an attack headed for me that Natsu dodged.

"Katsumi!! Watch out!" Natsu yelled as my eyes glowed blue and the attack disappeared. I looked at Natsu who ran towards me.

"You idiot what the hell are you doing?!!" I yelled as all the Sabertooth members were looking at us shocked.

The Sabertooth master who Natsu was fighting said, "You worms tire me. Go back to your puny guild."

I dropped Natsu who also turned and we glared at the master of Sabertooth.

"What did you just say?" I said. "I didn't hear you."

The master laughed as he repeated what he said and I turned to Natsu.

"Now I know why you came and I'll give you a beating you will never forget." I said as I glowed blue and Natsu nodded.

Sting and the others felt great power from me as I blasted one of my most powerful attack and the Sabertooth leader dodged it.

"Well your stronger than you look." He said as he did one of his powerful attack.

He fired at me directly and I didn't dodge as Natsu screamed.

"Katsumi!!"

"Shut up Natsu!" I said as the dust settled and I was in my angel soul form (one of the god-takeovers).

Natsu was shocked that I wasn't harmed and I casted a spell and the inn engulfed in a bright light. Then it died down as a woman who didn't look much older stood in front of the leader.

"Minerva, I didn't ask you to step in," the Master scolded her.

"Of course," Minerva smiled. "If this had continued, you would have won anyways, father." I detect a slight sarcasm in her voice, as if she knew he would have been clobbered had she not blocked my attacks.

"Father?" Natsu said confused and angry that she had interrupted our fight.

"However, the world cares about appearances," Minerva continued ignoring Natsu. "Even though these two came here and attacked you, if the master of Sabertooth annihilated two participants in the Grand Magic Games, it would cause difficulty for all of us."

"If anything's getting' annihilated, it's him!" Natsu yelled pointing at the master.

"My father has somewhat warmed to this battle," Minerva said, "but cannot back down in front of his subordinates. What do you think? Will you allow us to save face?"
