On a island up north of Tenrou island was a peaceful place where god-slayers live. A place where the next generation of wizards were born and taught by the gods. A child different from the rest, was sought out by the dark guilds.

"Mommy where are we going?" said the small child.
"Somewhere far from here. Don't worry I won't let them take you away for their own selfishness." the woman said. She was panting and her golden brown hair flying in the air behind her. Her emerald green eyes filled with determination and fear for her daughters life and future, sweat trickling down her pale skin. The child cling to her mother was confused and scared. Who was her mother trying to get away from? The child had dark brown hair, green-blue eyes and pale skin like her mother. Beside them was a fox with two tails. Her fur was as soft and it was as white as snow. On her forehead was a marking.
Faniira, the woman and mother of the child quickly stop and hid her daughter and said, " Katsumi, stay here and don't move. I won't be back to get you. Once I'm go and lead the bad people away, quickly go to Magnolia Town. There is a guild named Fairy Tail and show the master of the guild there this."
She gave the child a locket with the family crest on it. The locket inside was a clock and on the backside of the lid was a family photo. She then turned to the two-tailed fox.

"Take care of her and don't let any harm come to her." Faniira said.
"Don't worry, Faniira." said the two-tailed fox. "I won't let anything happen to her."
Faniira gave the child a book of spells bind with magic and only their bloodline with more than 1 type of magic can only open it. Suddenly Faniira heard a shout in the distance, She quickly got up and said good-bye to Katsumi and Kemuri and ran off.
"There she is run after her she has the girl!!"
The footsteps got fainter and Katsumi came out. Kemuri followed her and she broke down crying. When Kemuri finally clam Katsumi down, they headed for Magnolia Town. While they were walking on a path near a river, Katsumi wasn't looking where she was stepping and fell into the raging river.
