The man dropped quickly and Greer spun around and kicked in the door behind him, the secretary had lunged at him screaming but he flung her over his shoulder, she hit the floor hard and Greer stopped her. L was behind the last door, there was the sound of glass crashing from the office, L was making his escape. The door in-front of Greer erupted into splinters, exploding heavily and throwing Greer backwards, a trap by L, buying himself time. Greer quickly got to his feet and made his way to the wide stairs, a few more shots had came his direction but luckily they missed. A grenade came flying upwards across the air towards Greer, Greer turned and dived out the stained glass window behind him and fell 20 feet, landing hard on the roof of a parked car and then the ground, debris from the explosion surrounded him, just then the police had shown up, sirens screaming loud, the armed police surround him.

L had escaped.

Later Greer had found himself in a cell, handcuffed. Great way to start my double O status by letting L escape. He was never questioned about anything, was given something to eat then kept alone.
After an hour he was released and apologised to, the police seemed to have a certain measure of fear of him now, surely M was behind his release, the officer that had taken his handcuffs off had gotten him to sign a few papers, then had taken him to his car in person but Greer demanded him to return to the HQ at once. The officer seemed reluctant.

Greer got the driver to stop at a telephone box, he contacted M and updated him on everything, he knew M wouldn't talk openly by talking to him at the police station. Greer has given an address by M, then the line went dead.

Greer had exited the police man's car and made his way inside, past the guards. Greer wasn't looking for anything in particular, he just wanted to see the men's faces that were inside the building. Apparently the entire set of workers had abandoned HQ and left with sensitive information and equipment. Top five men and women were now wanted by MI5. After talking to several men inside HQ Greer left the area and gotten to his car, the handle on the door was fingerprint sensitive and a red scanner ran from left to right inside the handle, the door now unlocked and Greer entered, check his backseat then entered the address M had given him into the screen that appeared again. The address was going to lead him to L's home. Greer planted his foot on the pedal and shot off through Edinburgh. The officer in the car earlier had tailed him.
