Ice Cream & Giggles ~ Chapter 8

Kami's pov

'She kissed me. She kissed me. She kissed me. I'm overthinking this, it was on the cheek. That doesn't reeeaally mean anything... probably' "Hellooo? Kami you there? Helllloooo?" "WHAT! Sorry, sorry. I'm fine." I tried to smile, but I was a nervous blushing wreck. She saw right through it. "I'm sorry I didn't think... I shouldn't have done that." Her huge smile faded. I kinda enjoyed the kiss. But I couldn't tell her that... at least not yet. I smiled as big as I could to kinda tell her it was okay without saying anything embarrassing. "We should go get ice cream!" I suggested to lighten the mood. That worked she lit up again, the beautiful smile I loved. 'Wait the smile that I loved. I loved her smile. I think I loved more then her smile... I think I loved her.'

I was taken out of my thoughts by Mina grabbing my hand and pulling me out of the booth. We grabbed our photos and alien then started racing toward the ice cream shop. We got there and took a second to look at the board. "HAAAA! MINA LOOK!!!!!!!" I couldn't contain my excitement. "What Kami?" I pointed at the board and her jaw dropped just like mine. "THE MEGA SUNDAE BUCKET CHALLENGE!!!" We yelled in unison.

Quick authors note: My old favorite ice cream place where I grew up had a challenge like this. It was by the beach so it was a sand pale full of like 15 scoops of ice cream and a ton of toppings. If you finished it you got to keep the bucket and you got a shirt. So yeah, I just wanted to throw that in for fun.

"Let's do it!" She yelled getting her game face on. "Yeah!"

After getting the bucket we sat on a bench near by. We both started digging in. About half way through we both went in at the same time on accident and hit our heads. We both rubbed our foreheads and couldn't help breaking into a fit of laughter. "Hey Mina." "What?" "You have some ice cream on your nose." I scooped up some ice cream on my finger and booped her nose. "Hey not fair!" She quickly did the same thing to me. We both started laughing again.

"Alright Kami, pass the napkins." She giggled. "We don't have any, whoops." "Go get some then!" For a split second my mind went back to when she kissed me. Now payback. I leaned forward and kissed her nose taking the ice cream with me. 'What did I just do? Oh no.' I finally got the courage to look up at her. She was blushing like crazy. I didn't know her cheeks could get any pinker than her natural color. I thought she was blush proof. "I'm sorr-" I was cut off.
