I deticated this chapter to LittleMissDark because your comment always make me smile. Domo arigato. It means so much to me.

"Soooo....where are you taking me for lunch?" I asked for the hundredth time to the back of Matt's head.

"Just like the twenty other times you asked me; It's a surprise. Suck it up and wait until we get there." He replied. Yeah, I think I was getting on his nerves.

I figured that where ever we were going it wasn't any place fancy because of the clothes that he was wearing.  Just a simple pair of grey plaid shorts and a white t-shirt. His blonde hair was all over the place like he had just finished sticking his head into a dryer.

Nothing really special about that now was there?

"Fine. But don't expect me to be grateful if it's something lame. Because if you warn me about where we're going, I'll be able to tell you whether or not you should just turn around the car or not." I pouted from the seat behind him.

I'm not sure why he insisted that I sit behind him in the car instead of in the passenger seat, but I have a sneaking feeling that it had something to do with my dad. He had been getting worse about my 'safety' instead of better. In fact you could almost compare me to a three month old baby to a first time mom. That's how paranoid he was being.

I wasn't allowed to answer the door, the phone, or even play video games by myself anymore. It was getting creepy.

Some how though, I had convinced Matt to get my dad to let me out of the house. But unfortunately that meant that I was supposed to do what Matt wanted to do, not what I wanted to do. And he wanted to surprised me with something that he thought I would like. The thing is, I don't think he's known me long enough to know what I would like. So naturally I'm nervous.

"Don't be such a baby. What's the worst that could happen?" Matt scoffed.

"Well, we could get into a car crash and die. We could get caught up in a hostage situation. OR we could get tricked into going down the wrong road and end up in the middle of no where ad=nd be slowly hunted down by a tribe of cannibals. Oh! Or-" I began listing a whole bunch of random possible scenarios.

"Okay. I'm pretty sure you just based the last one off of The Hills Have Eyes. And I would like to point out that we're in the middle of the downtown so I would have to be really terrible at directions to end up in the middle of no where." He said cutting off what I was saying.

"Well you never know." I shrugged.

Before I realized it, the car pulled slowed to a stop in a parking lot. My first reaction was to look out the window and figure out where he was taking me. I saw a bunch of traffic outside the mall across the street, but I had the feeling that wasn't where Matt was going to take me.

Not that I wasn't grateful.

"Hey, idiot, you're looking out the wrong window if you wanna see where we're going. Now, get out of the car so we can go inside." Matt shut the car door behind him, and locked it once I got out.

The saliva inducing smell of coffee reached my nostrils, and I couldn't stop my natural reaction to take a big whiff. I spun around to see the sign of a small coffee shop. I could barely stop myself from bursting through the door, falling to the floor and laying there for hours.

"How did you know how much I love coffee?" I turned to Matt and asked flabbergasted.

He replied by giving me a wink and holding the door open for me to go inside, "It's kind of my job isn't it? Much better than what you were thinking it was going to be isn't it?"

"Yeah." I muttered, and stepped inside.

The second that I passed through the doors the overwhelming feeling of relaxation forced itself into my body. The wood floors were a dark oak, and the walls were brick for two feet up the wall then changed into a pretty red for the rest of the way to the ceiling. The ceiling itself was a almondy yellow color. The long counter to my right was covered in different treats to buy with your coffee, and behind the counter was a chalk board with the different drinks and prices for the shop.

"This place is perfect."

"Thank you. I found it myself." Mat flashed me a bright smile, and suddenly I had an ache in my stomach.

Tyson's a bit taller than Matt isn't he?

"Not that it matters or anything." I scolded myself.

"Uh....Alex....are you going to order or sit there talking to yourself all day?" Matt tapped my shoulder to get my attention again before gesturing towards the counter where an unexpected familiar face way waiting.

"Jade?" My face turned into complete shock.

"Hey, Alli, What's up? I haven't seen you for a while," Jade grinned and winked at Matt, "Who's he and what'll you have?"

In the back of my mind I realized the trouble I could possibly be in. If Matt found out that Jade was one of the people who held me hostage I doubted that I'd ever get to come back and maybe see her again. Hell, I'd probably never be able to get out of my house ever again.

"This is Matt. And I'll have a french vanilla cappacino." My eyes darted over to Matt for a second before making eye contact with Jade. I tried to tell her through telepathy not to do anything stupid. I'm not sure if it worked though. I might be in a dead zone.

"And I will have a mocha frappacino." Matt winked at Jade. I'm not sure why, but it made me feel like my brother was hitting on my sister. It was gross and weird, and I never want it to happen again.

"Matt," I wined jokingly grabbing onto Matt's arm, "I thought you were supposed to be taking me out on a date. Not flirting with the riffraff."

"Oh no you didn't," Jade shook her finger going along with the joke, "Imma show you what this riffraff can do to your face."

"Ladies. Ladies," Matt put his hands up, "There's enough of The Matt to go around. No need to fight."

"Did you just say THE Matt?" Jade asked before looking at me, "Did he just say THE Matt?"

"I think he did." I shook my head in disapproval.

"Yeah, please never say that again." Jade commanded as she handed us our drinks. I couldn't help but notice when I picked mine up that there was a paper hiding underneath. When I give it a quick look over when Matt isn't paying attention, I find that it's Jade's work schedule, and a phone number scribbled at the top for good measure. And at the bottom it says: WE NEED TO TALK.

I quickly glance up to make eye contact before a small nod.

I'm not sure which would be a better option: Breaking out of the house without THE Matt following me, or getting my hands on a phone. But you can bet your bottom dollar that I'm going to end up doing one of them.

Suddenly I want to ask Jade how Tyson is. But I know that I can't. But I want to. I want to very much, and I don't understand why. When this weekend comes I'm going to have to talk about this with my mother.

She'll know what's going on, and then she can give me some great motherly advice like she always does.

Oh well. It'll be finished in good time. I'll be able to update while I'm in Japan, but don't be surprised if all of a sudden my English gets weird. It's probably going to happen.

If you guys want to see how I'm doing in Japan you can go to my profile and click the webpage link, and it will take you to my blog. :)

I do want you guys to know that all of the votes and comments mean a lot to me. It really makes me happy when I hear, well more like read, your thoughts on the story. And be excited because this story will be drawing to an end, but not before something drastic happens.

:D It's going to be great.

Love you all!
