"Thanks for taking me out for the coffee two days ago, Matt. Sorry I didn't thank you earlier." I smiled brightly at him. So far I was surprised on how nice he was to me, given that I wasn't exactly nice back. And even though he is a very pretty boy, he hasn't tried anything funny so far. That's probably the thing that surprised me the most.
"No problem, Alex. It was good to finally get to go on a date with such a pretty girl." He grinned at me and my face began to get hot.
We were sitting down in my room, just chillin because of how hot it was outside. Yesterday, I had borrowed Matt's phone to 'call my mom'. In reality I had called Jade to tell her what had been happening since I had gotten home. She felt bad about the divorce, but I think she was more mad about the way my father had been treating me. She didn't tell me anything about how everyone else was doing, instead she asked what my address was and the time periods when Matt wasn't around me.
I honestly had been hoping for news on how Tyson was.
"Hey, Alex?" Matt asked, trying to draw my attention from my own thoughts.
"Yeah?"
"What can you tell me about the people who kidnapped you?" He asked suddenly. "Were they all boys?"
I thought about how to answer the question. I didn't want to give enough information that they'd get caught, but I was curious to know why Matt wanted to know. My thoughts immediately went to my father, but he already knew who had taken me. That was the whole reason the police weren't involved.
"No, they weren't. Two of them were girls, but they didn't actually kidnap me," I answered finally, "Why?"
"Did, uh, Did any of them touch you?" Matt asked awkwardly. Why would he possibly want to know something like that?
I was going to say 'no' again, but all of the memories with Tyson came back. When he kissed me, the band-aid, the road trip. Tyson's many different expressions flashed in front of my face. Especially the time when I had been the one who had asked to kiss him.
"I knew it." Matt scowled, "That's probably why you don't want to tell the police right?" He looked angry. Extremely angry. His scowl only deepened when I lost the ability to answer him.
Suddenly I found myself flat on my back with Matt pinning down my hands and feet. Air had rushed out of my lungs and I was finding it hard to recover the ability to breathe. I was shocked. Was this kid bipolar? What the hell was going on?
"You must be pretty easy then huh? So if I do something to you, you probably won't tell right? This will be easier than I thought. I had been told you'd be trickier the get under control, but you are a girl after all, right?"
What was he rambling on about? I didn't get it. All I understood was that he was threatening me. Why, I had no idea, but if I didn't some how get this big lug off of me, I had a feeling that he was going to do something worse to me.
But no one was home right now. My bedroom door was open, but even if I yelled no one would hear me.
"Matt what are you doing?" I asked frantically. I was trying to distract him while I obviously made an effort to figure out how to escape.
"I'm doing the job I was hired to do. Now be quiet and stop squirming. I thought it was going to take a few more days before your father actually trusted me, but it seems that your father isn't a very good at waiting to be sure." He sneered into my face, while one of his hands began to glade down the side of my body.
"Luna!" I screamed, as fear began to bubble up into my throat. I wanted someone to help me. Anyone. This wasn't happening. I began hyperventilating, and my vision started to blur from the panic.
A loud ferocious growl echoed through the room as A grey ball of fur jumped at Matt, throwing his body off balence and making him fall into the ground. I scooted back against my bed frame as I tried to focus on what was happening.
Matt struggled to his feet, and began backing out the door with Luna standing protectively between us. Her snout was scrunched up into the scariest look I've ever seen her make, and she continued to growl viciously. Matt's left arm was gushing blood all over my floor, and it was easy to tell that he was going to need some stitches.
"Don't get too excited just yet, Kenan. I always finish my jobs," Matt snarled at me, "And next time your damn mutt won't be able to save you." The front door slammed open, followed by my father announcing he was home.
"Dad!" I screamed, but it was too late.
Matt had taken off through the window and was gone.
"Alex? Alex, why is there blood all over the floor? Are you okay?" My dad was suddenly in my doorway, but Luna wouldn't let him come any closer than that.
I let out a whimper, and Luna calmed down, jumping up into my bed, and gave my face a good lick. She laid down next to me, and lifted her head only to growl when my father tried to step through my door.
"Alex, did that wild animal do this? Where's Matt?" My father's eyes grew cold as he glared at Luna accusingly.
"Dad, Matt tried to hurt me. Luna saved me." I finally burst out, as a river of tears began to fall down my face. Luna sat up and whimpered, nudging my face with her bloodied nose, trying to comfort me.
"I'm so sorry, Baby. I'll get a better bodyguard next time, and check his background, and sear-"
I cut him off abruptly, "No! No, Dad. No more bodyguards! I can't handle this anymore. I want to go stay with Mom for awhile." I cried. I needed a break from my father. How could he just suggest another bodyguard after this incident? How was that going to make anything better? Let me tell you; it wasn't.
I just wanted to go see my mom.

Well that didn't last long. Who was suspicious about Matt? Well don't worry guys; Matt's role isn't over.
Luna saves the day? Who would have thought such a cute little pup could be so vicious?
Well the end begins to draw near! Can anyone make any guesses on how this is going to end up playing out? I hope not because then I didn't do something right. Lol
Well you shouldn't get too excited just yet, because there still is going to be one last surprise before Tyson can keep Alli all to himself. Life just isn't that easy you know.
If you guys are waiting for an update on my story, I suggest reading some of my other stuff. It's hard for me to continually be writing the same story, but at the same time it's hard to write other stories when all anyone reads is this one XD.
Life just isn't that easy. Lol
