"Here is your room, sweetheart." Faith opened the door for Dawn's temporary bedroom.
Dawn glanced at Faith before stepping inside of the room and looking around. The walls were painted a calming blue with white accents. Simple, yet classy.
"Thank you."
Faith smiled at the shy girl and thought of when Harry had intervened and not too far after that she found out their secret. She lightly smiled at the fond memory of her hero coming to the rescue, but shook it off and nodded at Dawn.
"You are very welcome, dear. Now if you need anything, Harry and I will be right down the hallway, okay?"
She nodded, still refusing to smile. She couldn't seem to muster that much happiness even if it was towards the kind lady.
Faith closed the door behind her leaving Dawn in the room alone. She walked over to the bed and sat on the comfy surface. She took a deep breath as her brother wondered into her thoughts.
Her eyes shot towards the window as thoughts of him sneaking in crept into her mind. She jumped up and double checked the lock on the window. She took deep, calming breaths and stalked back to the bed.
She slipped off her shoes and crawled under the covers. Maybe tonight she can actually get a decent night sleep for the first time since she can remember. Her eyes fluttered closed as darkness consumed her entirely.

Dawn's mind was half awake when she heard a creak in the room. Her subconscious told her to wake up, but her body remained still. Her ears perked at the sound of the creak repeating and coming closer.
Her eyes shot open as a clammy hand clamped over her mouth. Her fearful eyes gazed into the dark depths of her brother's.
"You were supposed to be home tonight to fix me dinner. What do you think I thought when you never showed up? Huh? Then to find you here! You, bitch!"
He punched her hard in the stomach causing tears to immediately burn her eyes. Her thoughts were scrambled as she struggled against her brother's hand to breath. Screams were muffled as she tried desperately to escape.
"Shut up!" He hollered, his voice echoing throughout the small room.
She hoped that someone would hear her brother's yelling and come help her for once in her life.
She almost wished they wouldn't.
The deep dark hole in the back of her mind wanted her brother to just end her misery. End it all so she wouldn't have to suffer anymore.
Her brother through several punches to her already wounded stomach causing tears to cascade down her cheeks. She bit down on her brother's hand hoping it would allow her enough time to scream. She was successful.
"Help!"

I'm so sorry I haven't updated!
I started back to work about a week ago and it has been crazy gettin back into schedule and everything so please forgive me!!!
They started paying me though which I'm like super happy about and I just got my first paycheck and found out its $8 an hr!!!!!!
Gettin paid for something that I love to do is a blessing!!!
Oh and if u guys didn't know I work at a veterinarian clinic:) they just recently hired me as a vet assistant(vet tech) and I plan to go to college to become a vet so it's been a great experience!
