Chapter 5

Her tears were mixed with the hot water that surrounded her and left her crying unnoticeable.

It's not like she had anyone that would notice her crying. It just made her feel more at ease that it wasn't noticeable. She didn't want to cry, but the tears were held in too long.

The steam from the hot shower encased her frail body as she finally decided to step out.

She tried to shake off the thoughts of Niall, but found her attempts futile. He had sat next to her while she read and she didn't even move. She never acknowledged his presence and he just sat beside her until she had decided to get up and leave to prepare dinner for the beast.

The thoughts of the beast caused her to release a heart wrenching sob and more tears to cascade down her face.

She would never have imagined that her own brother would turn on her like he did. She would have never guessed what he is. All she knows is that he isn't fully human.

She had prepared his dinner as requested and set it out like always. She left quickly as she heard the lock on the door being turned as the key was inserted. She closed her bedroom door and took a deep breath.

She shouldn't have to fear for her life every time he came home. She shouldn't have to worry when he changed.

There was nothing that could stop the fear that engulfed her body every time. Nothing could take the pain away that her brother had caused. The physical and emotional pain.

Little did she know that that was why Niall Horan had made a presence in her life. She didn't know that he was sent here specifically for her. That he was not fully human either.

If she knew she would run in the opposite direction as fast as she could. If she knew that he broke orders to talk to her she would blame herself even though it was his decision.

She shook off all of the thoughts as she limped into her room. She slipped on a baggy T-shirt and shorts carefully and tucked herself into the warmth of the covers.

It took her a couple of hours, but she finally drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

Niall decided not to return back to the large mansion tonight. He didn't how long it would be until the master found out that he deliberately disobeyed orders.

He didn't know what would happen when he found out.

All he knew is that he would find out sooner or later and all Niall could do was hope for the best.

He had made the decision that she was worth whatever it cost him. Even if he was permanently forbidden to return and stay here on earth forever, she was worth it. She was his entire life and meant the world to him.

He loved her and she didn't even know him.
