Chapter 28

"Get off your ass kid!!!" Coach blew her whistle. Lily came running to me. I was sprawled over the floor.

"Oh my goodness you ok?"

"Considering the fact that I can't even move, no, I'm not ok." Coach made me the only one stand in the middle as a target for dodgeball. 27 girls kept throwing it at me and no matter how many times I got out, I was still in.

"Come on get up." She offered her hand which I gladly took.

"Hey Lily, what happened to your choice of friends? Don't trust a criminal!!!" Some girls yelled from a corner.

"Ignore them" lily told me.

"Already doing that."

"Ok now I have math and you have....math!!! Sweet!!!" She looked at my timetable.

Just as we were walking down the crowded corridors. I felt someone touch my back and squeeze it. I immediately turned to find a group of boys laughing. I went up to them

"Cash, cash no." Lily tried to hold my hand and stop me but I pulled my hand from her grip. I went to the middle boy who was twice as muscly as me.

"What were you thinking?" I started of cool.

"What? What happened?" He looked at me as though he had no clue. I just glared at him "What are you looking at Redhead. I thought you wouldn't mind me doing that, after all, you're a rapist. You could rape a hundred girls but I can't touch you?" His group laughed.

"Come on Cash let's go." She kept tugging at my hand.

"That's right Cash, go home to your mommy and, why didn't you rape her?"

Too late, I pounced on him and tackled him to the floor and kept landing punches in his face. Some of the boys and Lily tried to split us and they did, but not before I kicked him in the crotch.

"Wrong move Cash. You're dead the next time I see you."

"What were you thinking?!?! That was Tom Grey, the bully of the school. Trust me you don't wanna get on his bad side."

"I think that's too late."

"Let's just skip class." She said "Ya hungry?"

"Starving."

"Let's go to the cafeteria."

It was not crowded, just another two or three kids. We ordered sandwiches.

"So" she said with a mouthful of sandwich "Tell me about yourself."

"Woah blondie. I don't do back stories. Although I'm quite interested in yours."

"Ok, I have a sister names Fiona. I live with my mom, my dad......... left us. And I had a best friend named Leyla but she left."

"Left the school?"

"No, left the world. Cancer"

"Oh" I took another bite.

"But its fine cause I know she's somewhere better than this."

"Yes she is."

Time passes by and I didn't even notice. Now I get to go home.

I saw Thomas waving his hand at me.

"Whoa man. Who's that hotie?" Lily asked.

"He's my..........friend."

"He's so good looking. Are you sure he's just a friend?"

"Yes he's 22"

"Oh. Introduce me."

"Hey Thomas this is Lily my friend and Lily this is Thomas my friend."

"Good to know she's already got a friend."

Lily just smiled "Ok, I gotta go, see ya tomorrow Cash."

Wait tomorrow? I'm coming back?

"So....... How was your first day."

"Awesome. I didn't get sent to the principal's office, I didn't get hit by 27 balls and I didn't punch a guy's lights out which turned out to be the biggest bully in the school. I didn't do any of that."

He stopped the car so hard I hit my head on his seat.

"You could at least mention it before you pull such brakes." I rubbed my forehead

"What happened in school?"

"Did you actually think that people will allow a criminal to study with them?"

"Did you say that you're Cash Rebel?" He sighed

"No, I said I'm Beyonce."

"I was hoping you were clever enough to change your name like how you did with us."

"Even if I did, they'd recognize my face which is all over the freaking news!!!"

"Right. So do you wanna go tomorrow?"

"Are you giving me a choice?"

"Yes"

"No. I'm not going."

"Well, least I tried. How about homeschooling?"

"No way."

"You gotta choose one."

"School's fine."

"Good to know."
