"Excuse me, file a case? Against me? And who's my opposition? Cash Rebel? You kidding right? What do I have to do with that lowlife? Fine, but remember this..... If you lose the case, which you will, then you lose your life along with it."

"So..... What happened?" She sat with her hands on the table. The bar became our meeting spot. She's much more easier to talk to when drunk, even a little.

"Larson's a cheery guy, we had a conversation and-"

"He threatened to kill you and me didn't he?" She had a smile on her face.

"What? No, no...... Yes."

"Thought so. So what's the plan?"

"Wait did you actually ask for a plan?"

"I did. Now tell me." She wasn't amused

"I haven't come up with one yet. But I want to know something."

"Go on."

"Once Larson's caught, you will throw this life of yours once and for all....... Right?" His voice was soft, as though he was pleading with her

"Yeah, sure." That smile came back.

There was a phone call for Thomas.

"What is it babe?"

"I don't know how to tell you this Thomas........" Cash must've seen the change in expression on his face, cause she asked him to put it on speaker, after a few more annoying nudges he agreed and plugged earphones, one on his ear and the other on hers

"I don't think this is working." There was a dramatic gasp from Cash, she made no sound though.

"What do you mean it's not working?" His voice was laced with sadness

"Being with you us like living with a red alarm. My life is always on the line." Cash had a scrunched up face 'How many times has her life been on the line?' She whispered for which she got an elbow on the ribs to keep quiet

"Just a few days back a nutcase tried to shoot me, and did, lucky she missed." 'I did not miss, I just didn't want to kill her. And who the hell is she calling a nutcase?'

"Is someone with you Thomas?"

"Yes Lisa honey, I'm there with him." He scowled at her "Shut up!!!" He whispered

"This is another reason, you hardly have time for me. I'm sorry Thomas, but I'm breaking up with you." 'Gee, we realized that with the very first line that shit wasn't working out.'

"Hey Thomas, cheer up... At least you have your own life back. I really loved Lisa you know, she had the most awesome talent of pointing out the obvious." She had a straight face

"I loved her so much. I just wish she'll give me another chance."

"Meh!! She will, she may not. Depends."

"On what?"

"Listen, girls will forgive but not forget. What you have to do, once we get out of this mess, you're going to apologize so hard and you're gonna keep buying her gifts to show how much you love her."

"Wow I'm taking love advice from a 15 year old criminal who doesn't even know what the word love means. How my life has turned." She just narrowed her eyes and said nothing "What do you mean by love?"

"Love its just....... An unexplainable feeling. When you love someone, everything else in the world becomes irrelevant, time, place-"

"Sounds like the quantum realm."

"I'm sorry, the what?"

"The Quantum Realm. You know, you shrink between molecules and all concepts of time and space becomes irrelevant. Everything that you love is lost and gone forever. Never heard of that?"

"No I haven't."

"I realized that. Ok I'll be going now. Bye." She took her phone and left without another word. He had gotten her signature. All he has to do now is to process these papers and send them to Bran. From there it will go to court. He had another call

"Thomas its me"

"Yes sir"

"Its gonna be a lot harder for us to win the case now."

"Why?"

"After the death of the President, the post is going to him."

"What? How is that even possible. They say in such cases it should go to the eldest child."

"Yes, and thats what happened."

"What the actual fuck?!"

"Language. So you have to stop this for now. No one will agree that she's innocent. Just postpone it."

"But...." He sighed, he had no choice "Yes sir." He was shocked.

How can a man kill his own father? Yes, he made Cash do the dirty work but still...... He killed his father just for a job.
