Chapter 48

I took my phone from my pocket. It got destroyed completely. Shit.

"HEY!!! HEY!!!! HELP!!!! YE DOUCHE BAGS!!!"

It was pointless. We're below a bridge of a highway. No one can see or hear us. Wait a second........ Thomas drove an agency car. There's could be something which can help us. What am I gonna do with Thomas? I removed the rope from my back and swam all the way to one of the pillars of the bridge and tied him there.

I took a deep breath and went back underwater. The water is freezing cold at night. I have trained myself to be able to keep my eyes open underwater. The car had reached the seabed. It was darker and hotter over here. I squinted my eyes and tried to see through the darkness. I could manage to pry open the back of the car.

I heard a phone ringing. It was in the front. I went in through the window I broke and saw Thomas's phone ringing. How is the phone even ringing underwater? I got to learn that. Luckily for me its Lisa

"Hello babe. Hello?" I couldn't respond. I went back up.

"Lisa!!!" I gasped

"Hello?"

"Lisa, Thomas is drowning."

"What!?! Where are you? Who are you?"

"We're in the Avenue highway, under the bridge at section...... Five." I saw it painted in red on the pillar.

"I'm coming right away."

"That's exactly why I explained the freakin crisis."

I had to stay afloat but I was getting tired and my muscles ached from swimming. I went to Thomas and tied myself next to him. Don't sleep, I told myself. Don't go to sleep.

Hours passed by and I felt colder and colder, Thomas was sleeping next to me like a freaking baby.

"Thomas!!!!" I heard a female voice, Lisa.

"Thank god!!!! What took you so long?"

"Traffic and I needed supplies for you both. Who the heck are you?"

"I'll explain once we get up there!!!" I screamed back

"I'm gonna lower a rope. Hold on tight. Is Thomas ok?"

"Yes. Your baby boo is sleeping here like a fucking baby."

I took the rope and tied it around my waist and tied Thomas to my leg. The tow pulled us up. Once we reached, Lisa rushed to us and untied Thomas from me. She kept sprinkling water and tapped his face.

"You're welcome!!!! For saving him!!!"

I was given a towel which I wrapped around my cold and wet body

"What happened?"

"Your boyfriend sprayed my eyes and things turned ugly."

"What!?! Why would he do that?"

"No clue. Hey can you drop me off on the way?"

"Hop in."

She fastened Thomas's seatbelt and sat beside him. She held out her keys to me "Do you mind?"

I smiled at her, more like smirked "No problemo." I took the keys and started the engine. I drove off into the highway.

After half an hour, we reached a wilderness. It was dark and eerie.

"You live here?" Lisa was horrified

"No I don't." I leaned backwards and opened Lisa's door. She looked at me "Get out."

"What?" She was frightened

"I said. Get. Out!!"

"What!!! No!!! Why???"

I pulled my dagger out and pointed it at her "Get the fuck out before I kill you."

"You won't do that." She was panic stricken

"Watch me." I said as I cut through her dress and made a gash on her thigh. I immediately closed her mouth.

"You don't wanna wake your boyfriend up, do you?" I got out of the car and grabbed Lisa out and threw her on the dry leaves on the ground.

"Please don't do anything." I just went back and took the rope and pulled her up from the ground. She thrashed around and kept hitting my hand. I took my dagger out and stabbed her in the thigh. She let out a shriek and pushed me away. She fell down and took the dagger out of her thigh and gritted her teeth as tears brimmed in her eyes.

"I didn't want to do this Lisa. But...... Here we are."

"No, no, no, please." She whispered "Please"

I woke up in a car. Lisa's car. The last thing I remember is water, I was drowning. Because of Cash....... Where is she? Where the fuck is that bitch?

I heard a scream and turned my head around to see a figure looming over another. I got out of the car and saw Cash and Lisa. She was bleeding. Cash's back was facing me. She had a dagger in hand.

"Cash!!!" I clicked my gun and pointed it at her "Let her go."

"Oh, so Sleeping Beauty finally woke up." she didn't turn to look at me but for some reason I knew she was smiling. She looked wet and her dagger was stained with..... Blood!!!

"Put the dagger down Cash. I won't think twice about shooting you."

"True." Her voice was calm "But you will think about shooting me now!!!" She picked Lisa up and put her in front of her body as a shield. She put  her dagger at her neck "One slit and  she's gone. Put the fucking gun down."

"T-Thomas!!!" Lisa was petrified "What's happening?"

"Its ok. Everything is gonna be ok. Just be brave. Ok babe?" I slowly put the gun on the ground

"Kick it here." I didn't respond and she made a cut in her hand "I said kick it!!!" Lisa began whimpering

"Aww lookie here daddy. Your baby is crying. Whatever will you do?" She pouted and it immediately changed to a smile again "You know what? You got a good catch here. This is one sexy peach." She pushed aside her hair and licked her face, Lisa began to scream "Shh, shh. Otherwise you'll be quiet for the rest of your shit life."

"Cash.... Please. What do you want?"

"I need you. Get in the car and sit your ass there till I come."

"But-"

"Tick tock. Or else peaches here gets it."

I started moving backwards towards the car, keeping an eye on the two.

"You're not gonna go are you?" She threw Lisa down and picked up the gun and pointed it at me. Lisa got up and began to run the other way. Cash whipped her head and shot her in the leg.

"NO!!!"

"Relax lover boy, she's not dead. Now get in the car." I got in the back seat and sat there. Cash looked at me and bent a little to see me properly.

"Good night Gingerboy."
