Nolia POV
"Again Nolia?" My best friend Lillie shook her head before sitting in a plastic chair in the cafeteria. I just rolled my eyes before taking a seat beside her.
"What can I say, you know how Miss Brown is," I stated picking up a french Fri.
"Yes I know but another detention? What are your parents going to say?"I once again rolled my eyes not answering her. Unlike Lillie I didn't have those parents who flip out if I get in trouble. No instead I'm stuck with the ones that hold it against you for the next six months, silently judging you.
"I really think that our parents have given up on her by now," my head snapped up at the voice that called from next to me. Of course he had to be an annoyance.
"Oh hi Jackson," Lillie spoke sweetly batting her eyelashes at him.You see Jackson is one of the most popular people in the school, and apparently one of the hottest. But I don't see it, to me he's just an annoyance and a jerk. He didnt think of me in the best light either. Brotherly and sisterly love am I right? And to top it off my best friend has a massive crush on him, just like the whole female population of this school.
"What do you want Jack," I sighed looking up at him as he crouched down next to me. He smiled insistently at me. I know that smile all to well. It is the smile he gives our parents when they tell us not to do something.
He's up to something.
"Me?" He placed his hand over his heart as if what I have said offended him.
"No the other Jack sitting next to you," I said dryly.
He let the fake smile drop and his easy grin spread on his face almost instantly, whilst his eyes lit up mischief. "Now that you mention it there is something..." he trailed off. Jackson reached forward with lightning speed grabbing a handful of my French fries. Within seconds he was on his feet walking away.
"Thanks Nol," he called over his shoulder as he moved towards his friends.He. Stole. My. Food.
Without thinking twice I picked up my apple and tossed it at the back of his head. I missed getting his shoulder instead. The cafeteria had gone deathly quite as everyone watched in silence.
I just hit one of the most popular people in the school with an apple. I didn't care though, we always throw things at each other. Seriously everyone should be used to it now, I mean it's not the first time I've done it in front of everyone.
He turned back to us, his eyes dancing with humour. "An apple really?" He laughed running a hand through his hair.
"That was MY food jackass!" I yelled making him laugh harder.
"Love you too Nol," he called back walking away again. And just like that the cafeteria was back in full swing everyone talking and laughing. I just sat there pouting at my half empty plate.
He stole my food.
