Nolia POV
"Come on slow poke," Wade called from the entrance. I shuffled my way to him, still not wanting to go home with him."Yeah yeah, keep your hair on," I mumbled as we stepped out into the cool May afternoon. "We wouldn't want the hottest guy in school going bald, now would we?" I joked without thinking.
He laughed at what I said and ran a hand through his hair, messing it you more then it already was. "You think I'm the hottest guy in school?" He chuckled, looking at me out of the corner of his eye.
I stopped in my tracks, breathing in the crisp air. To say I was embarrassed would be an understatement. A that of cold air washed over me making me walk again. I no longer cared about being in a car with him. I just wanted to be warm.
When we got to the car he walked around and held the passenger door for me.
What a gentleman.
I got in, him following soon after. "You think I'm hot?" He repeated himself after a few minutes of driving. I didn't answer and his grip tightened on the steering wheel.
"I mean you're not the first girl to say that. But when you ask most of the girls say that Jackson guy," Wade's voice dropped to a deeper octave and his eyes glared over in ...
Jealousy? Anger? Hatred. It was decently hatred.
"So why not You?" He asked pulling me out of my thoughts.
Wait What? Doesn't he know who I am? I might not be as popular as my brother, but I was still pretty well known.
I cleared my throat and fiddled with the hem of my shirt. "Well considering he's my twin brother it would be wrong to think of him as well... hot," I explained looking out the window. It went really quite for what felt like years as we kept driving in the opposite direction of my house.
Wait.
"Umm my house is the other way," I pointed out as he sighed and shrugged.
"Did I say I was taking you home? Well I lied. We're going somewhere first," he said in a bored tone.
WHAT!
"No you're taking me home. Now!" I yelled crossing my arms like a little kid. He stiffened at my home and clenched his perfectly chiseled jaw.
"Don't raise your voice at me, and don't you dare tell me what to do again!" He demanded as he pulled into a car park. Without a word got out, came around and opened my door. "Out."
I scrambled to get my seatbelt off fumblingwith it for a minute before it came undone. Standing up I stretched and looked around. An old-fashioned building with red and white drapes stood before us. He brought me to the north side diner. The diner opposite side of town.
