Prom With Normani?!

Chapter 8

Sade's POV
As soon as I finished the song, I heard a bunch of screams, whistles and hollering. I look to Normani and she had the biggest smile on her face. I think I made her proud. Once I was done I told everyone:

Sade: Thank you everybody. And Normani, Thank You For being my date tonight. Your pretty fucking dope. Just so you know. *giggles*

I came off of the stool and I hugged my girls, I hugged the guys and I hugged the rest of my friends. But as I finished hugging one of my friends, I swing my guitar behind my back and I walked to Normani and gave her a big hug. We hugged for a long time until the girls came to us and cleared their throats.

RyanandDiamond: *cleared throats*

We pulled apart fast and quickly apologized while we were blushing at each other. As I was about to say something, Quincy and Alex came....

Quincy: Yooooo Sade, you sound dope. I didnt know you could sing like that?
Alex: me either. Your voice is beautiful.
Normani: You sound really beautiful Sade
Sade: Thanks
Normani: But question, did you really mean all of those things in that song? *asks softly*
Sade: umm *face starts to turn red in embarrassment*

As soon as I was about to speak, Diamond comes and wraps her arm around me and started to speak....

Diamond: oh yes, she mostly definitely means it. I remember one time we were home, and all three of us were just talking and all of a sudden my girl said: Normani is so beautiful, I'm gonna marry her one day and be Mrs. Normani Kor-
Sade: DIAMOND!!!!
Ryan: Ohhhh I remember that day. She even said: Oh my goodness she's so sexy, I-
Sade: Ryan is that Quincy with a girl over there?
Ryan: WHERE?!

I immediately took Normani by the hand took her away from all of them.

Sade: I'm sorry about that. They just love to embarrass me.
Normani: it's ok. I think it's cute. *taps my nose* but I do want to know what else you said when Ryan said that you called me sexy. *smirks*

When she said that, Murder she wrote came on......

Sade: I love this song. Care to dance with me?
Normani: Of course

I took her by the hand, went to the crowd of people that's dancing and we started dancing. I took one of her hand and twirled her body against mine. And that's when she started to grind on me.

~2 Hours Later~
We are having the time of our lives, until Tasha comes up to us.
Alex: What do you want Tasha? I already said that Sade don't want you.
Tasha: Normani, why did you go to prom with her?
Normani: I thought that the video she did was very sweet and I didn't want to disappoint her by not going. And so here I am.
Tasha: Ok but seriously? Why did you go with her? She's not even cute. And if you've seen the clothes that she worn in school, oh my goodness she was just an embarrassment. *laughs*

When she said that, tears welled up in my eyes, and as soon as I was about to walk outside, Normani grabbed me by my hand to stop me.

Normani: No, you stay right here. And you, whatever your name is. I don't like that you're being disrespectful towards her. All of us have different taste in clothes, and the clothes that she had on in that video didn't look bad to me. And she is more than cute. She's a beautiful young woman. So I suggest you walk away right now.
Tasha: and if I don't?
Diamond: I will personally beat your ass!
Tasha: you not gonna do anything!
Mr.F: listen ladies let's not do this here. Tasha go back to your friends. Now!

She rolled her eyes and went back to her friends.

Diamond: Babygirl what did you see in her?
Sade: a beautiful girl that was quiet when she first came here. Now that she followed the wrong crowd, she became a whole different person.
Diamond: Well, I'm glad you over her.
Sade: Me too....
Dj: Alright everyone, we are gonna take things slow, since this is the last song of the night. Everyone grab your date and walk in the middle of the dance floor.

As the Dj said that, Normani and I looked at each other shyly until I asked her the magic words.......

Sade: Normani, Would you do me the honor of sharing this slow dance with me? *smiles*
Normani: *Smiles shyly* I would love to.

I took her by the hand, walked to the middle of the floor, and she put her arms around my neck while I put my arms around her waist as we slowly danced to Ne-yo "Ocean sure."
