I Miss You Matthew Johnson

Chapter 3

I'm not sure how it happened, but Matthew Johnson soon became part of my group of friends. It included myself, my fraternal twin Near, Light Yagmai, Light's girlfriend Misa, and now Matt. A lot of times we just sit around playing stupid games like truth or dare, have I ever, Knee Tap-out, and Wii games. 

Today we all sat piled on the couch playing Knee tap-out. Down the line it went Misa, Light, Matt, myself, then Near. Misa had already lost and so had Near. They both left in order to find drinks. 

"Okay Light your out." Matt all the sudden said. 

"That's find I'm gonna go help Misa and Near with the drinks, finish the game and tell me who wins." Light replied.

I will kill you Light Yagmai. I thought as he made is way to the kitchen.

All the sudden I felt a hand climbing up my leg getting really close to my area. 

"Stop it Matty." I said annoyed.

He did move his hands, but only up farther. 

"Quit it!" I snapped. 

I slapped him up side the head but all that did was bring are heads closer together and all the sudden my eyes traveled to his lips. A memory of when I kissed him for the first time appeared in my head, and I suddenly really badly wanted to kiss him. He started to lean in, his hand still on my upper thy. I didn't lean in or tilt my head to the side, I however, also wasn't pulling away or shoving him away. This seemed to in courage Matt. All I could do was stare at Matt's lips. 

All the sudden I heard Near call, "Mello, L is coming to visit at some point!"

Matt all the sudden pulled away and removed his hand from my thy. I missed his touch. Wait no I didn't. I am not gay. Mello Anderson is not gay.

"Did he call you." I called out to Near who was still in the kitchen, completely oblivious to what he just interrupted.

"No, he sent me a text, I hope its okay that I invited him to stay with us for a while." He called back.

"Either you or him gets the couch then." I was not taking the couch, I was not the one who invited him.

"Whatever." I heard Near mumble.

"Who is L?" Asked Matt.

"L is my older brother." I said.

"Oh does he look like you?"

"Non of us look related." I said as I reached over and  grabbed a picture of the side table. I held it up for Matt to look at.

The picture was of Near and I with L in the middle. L Lawliet Johnson had long black hair and gray eyes. He only wears white long sleeve shirts with jeans. Near, who has white hair, also has gray eyes. And then there is me, who has blonde-ish orange-ish hair and blue eyes. I frowned at the picture. L and Near look some what the same, but I looked random and out of place. Our parents always got asked if I was adopted. 

"I should get going. See ya later Mello." Matt said. 

I nodded in response,and said he went to say good bye to everyone else. 

Weeks have passed since the almost kiss with Matt. Things had been awkward around us for a while but I am pretty sure that everything is back to normal between us. I mean sure some times I catch him looking at me, but other than that everything is back to normal. 

L would be arriving today at noon.
