They are Children, so I like to give them this sense of wonder, the innocence of the mind.
Ned - is not as patient as Ciel or as wise as Jade or as strong as Hier, but he can hold his own with the help of his Gadgets and the ability to adapt easily to situations he portrays a stage of child hood where the time when you first learn about interacting and adapting to the games that you and your friends do.
Ciel - is the Hybrid in all sense of the word, her mood shifts based on the situation of her medal, she can tank for her friends, act as support or even stand as the front row damage dealer however she is not as smart as Jade which inhibits her ability to lead. She represents a stage of childhood where options are everywhere and freedom to do almost anything, the stage where you enjoy being a kid.
Jade - Is the laid back and lazy type, he acts as the leader but really he just wings things out, While he's not all that powerful compared to his teammates, he is able to make do with his abilities, using tricks instead of actually fighting with his hands, while doesn't mingle much he is interactive but keeps his story hidden for now, but his main goal is to succeed his father and achieve freedom in more sense of the word than one. He represents a stage in childhood where the wish to step out of your parents shadows starts to boil
Hier - The hot headed cursing loving member of the group, she is very assertive and would like nothing more than just to get things done as fast as possible, she is very irritable and the most prone to get into fights. She is the strongest of her team mates in terms of power and due to her small stature, she often get's picked on...though it usually ends with her beating the crap out of others, her anger is channeled through the Envy of not having her father around. She represents the stage where a child yearns for the love of their parents, the time where you are most vulnerable where you start comparing what you don't have that other's have.
Maria Moonfield - The calm and collected of the bunch, while her powers are very much destructive, she is the most gentle among the members, she is obsessed with mushrooms and love to share them to her friends, she tends to do things in a calm and safe manner with her powers being the way they are.
Loz Moonfield - The brash and rugged tank of the squad, she excels taking heavy damage for her team all the while allowing them to counter attack effectively. Her skills compliment her innate ability to control the element of ice be it hers or her enemies. She the most resilient of the group and is often positioned at very front of every assault missions. She is also equipped with various arsenals ranging from her trusty sword and shield, her versatile bow, her cryo bombs, her enchanted lances, her hookshot and finally her dreaded Barbaros Axe. Being the frontline defense of the squad she is very foolhardy and will do everything in her power to protect her squad.
PETs - PERSONAL EMERGENCY TOOLS
In general - PETs are the D-Squads trusty companions, they provide all the tools necessary for their masters during every situation. They can provide many to infinite amounts of support from attacking enemies to buffing their masters. PETs also have the innate ability to incorporate into their system anything that they can see. With enough data, the PETs can survive the harshest of environments able to take blows hard enough to shatter a planet or even turn into intelligent beings themselves.
