Ah, my apologies for lack of update and for missing many special dates... I've been losing my sanity with school as well as some personal issues as of the past week or so. So without further adieu, let's get to the events.

September 5th, 1774 - The First Continental Congress  was assembled in Philadelphia, PA consisting of approximately 56 delegates including John Hancock, Samuel Adams, George Washington, and Patrick Henry

September 9th, 1776 - The Continental Congress changed the name for the new American colonies from the United Colonies to the United States.

September 13th, 1788 - New York became was chosen by the U.S. Congress to the federal capital of the new American nation.

September 15th, 1776 - New York became captured by the British troops under the leadership of General Howe.

September 17th, 1787 - Delegates from twelve states voted unanimously, during the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, to approve the proposed U

September 17th, 1787 - Delegates from twelve states voted unanimously, during the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, to approve the proposed U.S. Constitution.

September 19th, 1758 - Margarita "Peggy" Schuyler Rensselaer, daughter of Catherine "Kitty" Van Rensselaer and Philip Schuyler, was born in Albany, New York. She was one of the seven children of her mother that had survived to adulthood(3rd born). Her sisters Angelica Schuyler Church and Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton were two more famously known sisters of hers. Peggy Schuyler married a distant cousin named Stephen Rensselaer III would was 19 at the time while she was about 25. She had three children with him, but only one survived to see the days of adulthood, Stephen Rensselaer IV. Unfortunately, Margarita succumbed to illness at the ripe age of 42 in 1801, just months before her sister's eldest passed from a fatal duel in late November.
