Standing in line for the entrance took forever but the friends made the most of their time.
Going back and forth with taking selfies, playing Scrabble on their phones or even just talking about new things.
Although the pair are roommates, they go to two different colleges.
Elenora took the more studious route and actually went to college, where Kate decided to do online college.
When they were actually admitted into the Park, they both bolted, hand in hand, for Space Mountain.
"Okay, rides, lunch, then meeting people?" Elenora proposes.
Kate nods, still out of breath from the running. She had always hated exercise despite being one of the fastest girls back in high school.
"Awesome."
The girls spent their entire morning riding the rides, unironically going on the carousel multiple times, and shopping for pins.
"Where do you want to go for lunch?" Kate asks.
Elenora shrugs. "I don't really care." She looks around. "Oh wait! The gondola! We should ride that before lunch."
Kate grimaces. She's had a huge fear of height ever since she was a child. Even though the gondola was perfectly safe, she has a constant fear of death.
"Please? We'll be okay. And if you get scared I'll start singing." Elenora pleas.
Elenora doesn't have a bad voice, but it can make Kate laugh when she isn't able to hit higher notes.
"Okay," Kate says in a worried tone. "But if I don't like it, you're paying for lunch."
"Again? My poor bank account." Elenora jokingly mutters.
This whole trip to Disney had been a birthday gift from both of their parents.
Since they had known each other for so long, their parents act as if they're siblings.
Katherine's birthday was a month earlier, August 15th, and she got the hotel room. Elenora's birthday was in two months but as an early birthday present, her parents offered to reemberce her for all the food and things bought.
Elenora grabs Kate's hand giving it a tight squeeze and hurries off, dragging her along.
They get on to the gondola, a young blonde girl helping Kate in when the cart sways slightly, and set off on their adventure.
Below them, the whole park looked so small.
Elenora kept her face pressed against the window, constantly pointing down at the attractions below.
"You know, there's a great big hunk a world down there with no fence around it." Elenora says, sighing dreamily.
Kate pulls her legs in closer, making sure to not rock the cart. "Shut up, you goldfish, there's a huge fence around the park."
Elenora sways slightly, the soul purpose to move the cart and scare Kate. "Why must you take away all my happiness?"
Kate squeaks in fear and closes her eyes. "Ella! I will call your parents if you don't stop this right now!"
Elenora laughs and swings a bit more. She stands and does a little dance.
Kate lightly kicks Elenora's shin, only to make the cart move more. She lets out a stream of French words that Elenora can identify as profanities.
"We are never doing this again." Kate mutters, curling up into more of a ball.
"I can't believe you're scared of heights," Elenora inquisites, sitting back down. "You're fine with anything else, but heights, that's your kryptonite."
