Chapter 12

Jamey's P.O.V

After practice I got over to Sierra's houses and rang the doorbell.

"Sierra, darling? Could you open the door please?" I heard her dad's scream faintly.

Just a few seconds later the door openend and I saw the most precious girl ever.
"Hey." she said smiling.
"Hey." I said back and kissed her softly.
"So, is your dad home?" I asked softly.
"Yes, let me go get him. Dad, it's for you!"

She let me in and I met her dad in the living room.

"Jamey?"
"Good afternoon sir, um.. I had a small question for you.."
"Sit, my son."
"Thank you, you see tonight I'm playing my first football game of the year and I would really appreciate it if Sierra could be there. But as we both know she's grounded for what she did last night. Which I was not a part of, by the way. So all I'm asking is if she maybe could come over and support me?"

"You know, I myself, have always been a football fan. So I wouldn't let my daughter miss out all the fun for something so stupid. But can I come?"
"Of course you can!"

"Can I come too?" Dan asked and I nodded.
"Please man, I'm dying to get to know you so we can all hang out after."

I looked over at Sierra and smiled at her. She smiled back at me.

"So, Jamey, you're her boyfriend now?" her dad asked.
"Dad.." Sierra said.
"Yes, I mean. I believe so."
"Take good care of her. Alright? Other wise you'll have to deal with me." her dad said.
"And me." Dan said flexing his biceps and we all laughed.

After seeing Sierra shortly I had to go back to school to get ready. We would meet there. Both her parents are coming and Dan was gonna be there too.

I was getting out of the bus and saw people lining up for their seats. I saw Sierra and Dan standing there waiting so I called her.

"Sierra!"
"Hey!"
"Hi." I said feeling all my team mates looking at me.
"I finally get to show you off. You wanna meet the team?"
"You sure they won't make fun of me?"
"If they do imma make sure they never do that again."
I leaned in and kissed her. Wolf whisling all around us and Sierra hides her face on my shoulder.

"Hey, you'll do great out there won't you?"
"Of course I will, with you suporting me I only ever win." I smiled.

"Jamey, come on let's go!"
"Coming coach! I have to go, meet you after?" she nodded and gave me a kiss on my cheek.

The game started and as the cheerleaders were chanting I scanned the public for Sierra. I saw her and waved at her smiling. She waving back at me.

After a few tries to score the croad errupted. They were all shook.
Something was up on the screen. It said:
'only losers hang out with losers veronica + sierra = lesbo's'
And there was a picture of them hugging underneath it.

I was so caught up that I didn't see the quarterback from the other team run up to me and slamming me to the ground.

"Call the medic!"
"Jamey!"
"You okay?"
"Jamey!"

That was all I heard when everything went black.

Sierra's P.O.V

I cannot believe who would do this. Veronica and I searched for each other's eyes and she looked just as dumbstruck as I was. Behind her I saw Mackenzie and Chrissy snigger.
They must've done this.

But I only had the courage to get up and run away.
"Sierra!" I heard Dan scream for me.

And I was gonna look up at him until I heard another scream.

"Sierra! It's Jamey. Come on! Quickly."
It was Veronica.
"What happened?"
"He got distracted by the banner on the screen and someone tackled him pretty hard."
"Who did this?" I said pointing at the screen.

"I have no idea, I swear to god please you have to trust me!"
"I do." I said to her while running on the field.

I sat down on my knees next to Jamey waking up.
His coach was there too.

"Who are you? What are you doing on the field?"
"I'm his girlfriend." I said. He nodded.

"Hey, hey. Alright, alright. Here, look at me. How many fingers am I holding up?"
"Um.. Two?"
"Jamey?" I whispered.
"Sierra?"
"It's okay. Come on. Can you sit up?"
"I'm so glad to see you. What's going on?"
"I'll explain later okay? Right now I need you to try and stand up."
He nodded and did as I told.

He hugged me and was okay to play the rest of the game.

I watched from under the bleachers not wanting to get any more attention.

The match was done and after the whole incident Jamey's team won.

Veronica, Dan, Jamey and I were all sat on a table to talk things out.

"So who do you think might've done this?" Jamey asked holding my hand under the table.
"I bet it were your bitchy ass friends Veronica. I saw them laughing when the picture turned up."
"Well then I'm about to have 2 friends less. That really hurts my feelings. And if they did that only because they think I'm hanging out with a loser, in their eyes, than I'm so done with them."
"But you have two extra friends now." Dan said pointing at himself and Jamey.

Jamey nodded.
"This is considered bullying and I'm not picking it. Tomorrow at school I will clear everything up."
"How?"
"Well I wanted to do this in a little more special way but let's make this official. Sierra Burgess? Will you officially be my girlfriend?"
"Yes Jamey, I would love to!" I said hugging him. I didn't want to kiss him in front of our friends so he kissed my cheek. I've never seen him this happy before.

"You guys are so cute!" Veronica said.
"Well I never got to thank you for giving me her number instead. So thank you.." Jamey said.
"You're very welcome." she smiled.
