and then there were 2

Blue and red lights began to fill the bank like a party, vixen looked around full of fear. Just as she was about to speed out the door two cops blocked the exit, she tried the other door but it too was blocked. The police shone bright white lights into the bank blinding vixen.

*COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP*

Said a cop through a mega phone. Vixen felt her heart race, that energy ran up her spine and into her her eyes making them glow purple. The energy burst through every part of her body. She began to blend in with the wall like a lizard and easily snuck out a roof exit. She was getting used to using her powers without her totem. Vixen ran her hands through her course hair and breathed for a moment. Her mind was racing. Who was this woman? Where the hell did she get her totem? And where is she now?

Vixen looked down at the police blockade outside of the bank but something else caught her eye. About a block down was the imposter running with the speed of a cheetah.
Vixen leaped off the roof and landed on the road keeping the same energy as before and racing after her. She wouldnt let her get away again. Turn after turn vixen never lost her glare on the woman she was chasing. The women hopped over a small deli with ease and vixen followed, they both slid down the roof, sparks following them as they fell. The imposter fell into a dumpster and vixen landed on top of her, still on her feet. "WHO ARE YOU!?!" vixen asked. The woman grabbed something in her pocket and laughed, out of nowhere a shot hit vixen in the shoulder, rocketing her to the ground. The imposter stood up and looked down at vixen with a look of disgust and then left.

              * the next morning*

Nikki walked out of the deli with a bag in her hand. She looked at her phone as she walked down the sidewalk to the bus stop. She clicked on Mari's contact and called her, she sat at the bus stop waiting for an answer when she heard mari's phone go off.
She was shocked by the sound of her ringtone which was the song "do for love" by 2pac. Nikki quickly got up and surveyed the area and found mari laying by the dumpster behind the deli. "Oh shitt. Gurl wake up!" Nikki said while helping mari off the ground. "What tha hell happened to you sis?" Mari rubbed her eyes "I'll tell you but could we go to my house first?"

As they arrived at Mari's house, mari sat on the couch heavily and sighed.
"Girll what happened??? First you gone fo months at a time and dont answer ma calls and now I find yo body behind a gotdamn dumpster! Is you on crack?!?" Nikki said concerned.
"No I am NOT on crack Nikki, chill.
I was gone all those months because it turns out aqua man was actually an evil clone and he was working with an organization trying to clone the justice league to destroy the earth or something like that. I fought along side the justice league and stopped them." Mari said. "OOOHH so are you part of the justice league again?"
Mari rolled her eyes "No batman says ' I'm not ready '. Nicki looked to the side. "Well that doesn't explain how the hell you ended up outside a dumpster?" Mari sat up, "oh that, well there is some weird girl who somehow has my totem and is pretending to be me. And some how she had someone shoot me." Nikki's eyes widened. "OH HELL NAW, Where it's at? Let me fix you up." Mari pointed at her shoulder and nikki quickly ran into the kitchen to grab the med kit. "Thank god I took nursing school sis, this little accident could've got infected." While Nikki patched mari up she turned on the TV.

  *Vixen is back years after her brutal attack on a government agent and is now robbing banks*

Said the tv announcer through her small box tv. Mari let out a grown of anger and fell back on the couch. "Are you done yet? I have some things I need to do." Nikki packed up the med kit and looked at her "Well okay then miss busy butt, you had betta just watch yo ass out there, you dont wear a mask so people will know who you are." Mari nodded and went to her closet, she grabbed a gray hoodie and some black spandex. On her way out nikki yelled at mari "Can I stay here and watch TV, I forgot to pay ma rent fo tha last three months so my landlord said I can't come back 'till I pay it!" Mari yelled back "OK, just feed my dog will ya?"

Mari jogged down the busy streets of hub city making sure to cover her face with her hood as much as possible. She turned into a coffee shop, grabbed a tea and sat at a table.
"Oh my gosh it's you!" She heard from behind her. Worried, she quickly turned around to find a short black woman in her 20's with a small afro. The woman proceeded to walk towards her and sit down at Mari's table. "It's me, Unique? Remember? You saved me the other day from that creep in the alley." Mari remembered the night she was talking about and continued to listen "I saw the news, everyone's talking about it. And to be honest I know it's complete B.S. Your a hero and I've seen that with my own eyes." Mari smiled a little and leaned in to make sure no one else could hear "Some one is framing me, some one some how got my totem and is using it against me. I know this is a lot to ask but can you help me out some how?" Unique sat up straight. "I'll do what I can but I'm going to have to do some research first." Mari got a burst of hope, "Okay thank you so much, here's my number text me if you have any questions."

Nikki was in Mari's house trying to set her phone up against the counter in the kitchen, "I gotta record something cute fo tha gram" she said while struggling to set it up. Once she got it set up properly she turned around and started twerking, in the middle of her video four men burst through the front door with guns and tackled nikki. "We have the target in posession." Said one of the men into his walkie-talkie. Another man grabbed nikki by the hair and looked her in the face, "sir! This isnt Mari M'cabe, should we still take her?" The other man looked at nikki and nodded
"We'll see if the boss can use her in any way." The men all rushed out with nikki and lit the house on fire before they left making sure no one could return to the home...
