The next few days Elaine and Draco developed a mutual friendship..They started talking more as they did whatever bizarre task Hagrid had for them that day in detention. They even started talking in Potions class, which got some interesting remarks from Harry.. "You're only talking to him, cause you sit by him right?? I mean you're not actually friends with him?"
"And what if I am? He's not all that bad." Elaine answered.
"What if he's using you? I mean you know his reputation, and his legendary list of girls. Do you really want to get into that?"
"Harry, it's nothing like that." But Elaine knew that wasn't entirely true..

In potions later, Elaine actually managed to get there on time, but still not before Draco. As she took her seat Draco looked over at her. Today her shirt was buttoned down a few more buttons than usual, and if Draco looked at the right angle he could see the pink lace trim of her bra. Smirking to himself, he followed her figure down to her perfect legs, briefly covered by her skirt. The thought of those legs wrapped around him made him want to jump on her right there in class, but he forced himself to look down at his book. When Elaine glanced up at him she noticed a slight tint of red in his cheeks. "Was he blushing??" She asked herself? "No.. That's ridiculous." She told herself. Before she could think on it anymore professor Snape interrupted.
"Your next assignment, due next Tuesday, is a 15 page paper on the properties of 'felix felicis' this will be a group assignment. Your partners are you table mates. I suggest you don't waste any time getting started." Snape said. "Of course this will be out of class work, but you should have plenty of time to finish." A collection moans and complaints came from the class, as they continued on their in class work. Draco was suddenly struck with a brilliant plan.. Draco nudged Elaine and she looked up from her cauldron.
"Hey, sense were working together, you want to meet up at the library after dinner, to get a head start on that paper"? He quietly asked.
"Ahh sure." She hesitantly answered. "Why don't we meet at table 12 the one back by the restricted section." He added, not really wanting to be seen with a Potter of all people.
"Sounds like a plan" she said with a shy smile.
Later at diner:
"Whoa whoa whoa, hold on. You're telling me that you plan on taking advantage Elaine Potter, just cause you hate her brother??"
"Mmhmm!" Draco answered through a bite of food.
"Your out of your bloody mind mate." Blaise confirmed.
"Yeah, but if you haven't noticed she's hot, like really hot." Said Draco.
"Of course I have! I think everyone has, but their all too bloody scared of her brother to date her." Blaise said stuffing his face with jello. "You're crazy mate." Blaise said with his mouth full of jello. Draco's only response was a smirk.
The library:
Elaine assumed Draco would be late but 30 minutes was pushing it. She sat at the table she had managed to get in the back of the now crowded library. Elaine impatiently tapped pencil on the table. "Patients much?" a voice said behind her. She turned with a jolt to see Draco standing behind her.
"It doesn't help when you're late." she mumbled back. Draco took a seat across the table from her.
"Do we really have to read all these?" Draco whined, looking at the stack of books Elaine had assembled on the table.
" We don't have to read them, per say, we're just using them for research." She answered.
"Well you're the Ravenclaw, so I'll leave that to you," Draco leaned back in his chair with his hands behind his head, closing his eyes. Elaine gave him a swift kick under the table, and he sat up with a start.
"It's a group project Draco." Elaine said, starting to get seriously frustrated with him. "We have to get a good grade on this."
"Correction, you have to get a good grade on this. I could care less. Its already bad enough I got stuck working with a Potter." Elaine rolled her eyes but didn't let the comment bother her.
"Fine, maybe we should find somewhere else to work though, its getting way to crowded for my liking." Elaine quickly suggested.
"And where do you think were going to go?" Draco questioned.
"Were in a castle, there's got to be somewhere quiet we can work." She remarked.
"Fine, whatever." Draco grumbled. They gathered up their stuff and made their way to the entrance of the library catching a few looks as they went. When they got to the corridor Elaine picked a direction and just started walking hoping to find an empty classroom or something, where they could work. She really wanted to get a good grade on this. Part of it was simply the Ravenclaw in her, but she mostly wanted to impress Professor Snape so that he might stop picking on her. As she was walking caught up in her own thought, she heard a noise to her left. She turned to a blank wall to see a door appearing. "The room of requirements." Draco said. "Ever been in there?" He asked walking towards the door. Elaine had never been there herself, but she heard people talking about it all the time, and of course she knew what it was.
"Oh no, i havn't." She replied
"Well come on." Draco urged pulling her to the door. "Might as well study in here." When they walked in the room was set up like an average common room back at the dorms. There was a fireplace lit in the corner and an arrangement of comfy couches and chairs around the room. Elaine spotted a table and chairs on the opposite wall and began walking over as Draco opted for a seat on the couch.
"Come on, were here to study." Elaine scolded.
Half an hour went by and the arguing had only gotten worse. "You know you can only use a potion like that if the situation presents itself!" Elaine argued.
"But then how do you know what the situation is? And what if it calls for a different potion?!" Draco yelled back
"Uggh you're impossible!" Elaine complained as she turned around to face him not realizing how close he was. Her eyes met his silver ones. Without saying anything Draco leaned down and kissed her. His lips were forceful at first but soon became softer. Before she realized what was happening, Elaine reached her arms up around Draco's neck. His hands found her waist pulling her deeper into the kiss. A moan escaped her mouth making Draco smirk as he kissed her. A loud noise from the outside corridor made them both jump away from each other. Elaine stood staring at him in disbelief as he smirked back at her. "Umm, I think we've done enough for today." Elaine said quickly as she gathered her books and quickly exited the room. Draco still not realizing what he had just done. Picked up his things and began walking back to the Slytherin dorms. On his way there he managed to find one of the first year Slytherins outside the portrait door.
"Hey whats your name?" Draco questioned knowing the kid was already intimidated.
"Charlie." The kid quickly replied.
"How would like to make some money, Charlie?" Charlie nodded his head in reply. "I've got a job for you, find out everything you can about Elaine Potter. Got it? If anybody asks don't mention my name." Draco instructed.
"Umm ok." Answered Charlie
"Good. Now get out of here." Said Draco.
