Ashton's pov

I woke up to a big smile on my face after yesterday but then it reminded me when Emily's ran off. I still don't know why, I think I might text her and ask if she alright because last night she said she didn't know wether she can trust me and I want to prove to her she can. I get up and get dressed putting my black skinnies on and band tee and get my phone, it was about 12 so Emily should be up.

'Hey Em you know you said you didn't know wether you could trust me well you can. I've been through some stuff and I got bullied in my earlier life which made me a good listener in some strange way. I'll always be here.'

I was sat on my bed for about 10 minutes and still didn't get a reply so I went down stairs and had some lunch. After about 30 minutes I checked my phone and I had a reply from her.

'Do you want to come over and talk?'

'Yeah I'll be over in 10'

'Ok'

I started walking to Emily's thinking up of things that could of happened to her. I walked up to the door and knocked, Emily answered.

"Hey Em"

"Hey Ash, it's just me, my mum is out"

"Ok"

"We can talk in my room"

We headed up stairs to Emily's room. We sat down and she began.....

"First I want to know that I can trust you, what I'm about to tell you my mum doesn't know and I don't want her to find out either. This stays between you and me"

"Yeah I swear I won't tell anyone"

"Well where do I begin"

Emily's pov

"Well where do I begin"

I need to do this, tell someone what's going on, someone to talk to and I need to tell him about Danny as well. Ashton was looking at me, his eyes showing concern and curiosity. So I began......

"It all started in my previous school, while I was there my dad left us without saying anything or giving us a reason. I used to be so well behaved and have good grades but then I started getting into trouble, skipping classes, having a go at people and even starting fights. I managed to answer the phone at home when the school rang and hung up and rip up the letters from school. Luckily they didn't have my mums mobile. Then I started hanging round with the wrong crowd out of school which lead to me meeting Danny"

"Who's that?"

"My boyfriend"

"Oh, please carry on"

"Ok" I knew that bothered him "we were having so much fun, at first. I would miss school for him, sneak out my house at night for him and tell my mum I was studying. In truth I wasn't this good girl that I made my mum see because I didn't want her knowing the truth cause I love her. After a while it started to get worse, if I was to talk to a guy Danny would punch them or warn them away. He doesn't like me having friends without his ok. I decided it needed to stop so I asked my mum if I could move school and made up a lie that the teachers weren't good and my mum being my mum moved me to your school"

"Wow that's a lot, I knew there was something about you you didn't want people to see and truth is I saw you sneaking out the house the other day"

"Why didn't you say anything?"

"I just ignored it, I'm sorry"

"It's fine"

"So what's the deal with Danny, you still with him? Is that the boy I saw you with?"

"Yeah I would of been I tried breaking up with him when I was gonna move schools for a new start but then he started shouting at me asking if there was another boy. There wasn't and I told him that and I still loved him but I didn't and I just wanted a new start. That's when he.....hit me round my face.....(I was crying at this point) and I said that I will stay with him cause nobody breaks up with him. So I'm with him cause if I leave him I just fear what he's going to do to me. I've told him I'm not skipping school anymore but he still makes me sneak out nearly every night"

I was still crying and Ashton had come over to me and was cuddling me telling me it was going to be alright.

"You need to tell someone"

"No I can't he will do horrible things, please don't say anything"

"I won't if that's what you want"

"And when you was tutoring me and I went out and took a call, that was him and he wasn't happy about me being with you and he said if anything happened between us he would beat the crap out of you"

"Well that's good to hear, not"

"I don't love him anymore I love someone else"

"Who?"

"The person who will get the crap beaten out of him if I get with him and break up with Danny"

"Me?"

"Yeah"

We were looking into each other's eyes, Ashton still cuddling me. Then he leaned in and I didn't pull back we were kissing but not for long, I pulled away because my phone was ringing and it was Danny.

"What's wrong Em?"

"Danny, you need to be quite"

Ashton nodded and I answered the phone.

'Hey Danny what's up?'

'Nothing just seeing how you were after yesterday. Are you feeling better?'

'Yeah thanks for asking babe'

Then Ashton knocked something causing a bang.

'What was that?'

'Oh I'm just watching something on the TV, got to go now see you soon bye'

I hung up and Ashton was looking at me. Then I got a text from my mum saying she was not gonna be back till tomorrow.

"You alright Em?"

"Not really and my mum said she's not going to be back till tomorrow"

"You want me to stay?"

"If you don't mind"

"I don't" we stood there smiling at each other not knowing someone was watching.
