Hit one. Screams of pain were almost instantaneous. Quickly they were cut off by his horrible death. His body was dropped from the sky to hit the ground. Hit two. Screams of agony. Then cut off by his death. His body dropped. Hit three, the curdling screams. Then dropped.
All was silent. All until you heard the first thud. The first of the three bodies hit the ground next to the gathering. Blood splattering as it hit. Second thud. It landed in the middle of the gathering, hitting a few as it did, spooking them beyond belief. Third thud. The body landed on the edge of the gathering. (Remember, they can only hear us if everything was silent, but only slightly hear us. They were not even close to silent). The gathering started to freak out. Not as badly though, because they stayed there, looking toward what seemed like empty sky.
The seven dragons left in the sky just stared at me with confusion. They had not seen what had happened, but they could hear it. They were all just hovering a good distance in front of me. I just smiled back. Their faces to true horror when they saw the Night Killer, with bloody jaws, behind me. She lowered her head towards me & gave me a little nudge.
She then turned towards the confused & horrified dragons. She opened her maw, letting out a huge whirl of flame out. It instantaneously made them all drop out of the sky. One after another they hit the ground with a loud thud. They were all scattered around the gathering, cringing in severe pain. Their flesh scorched by the flame. They were cringing uncontrollably until the end. They all died within ten minutes of hitting the ground.
After a good half hour, I landed safely on the ground next to all the gathered dragons. I turned & said, "The rules said, if I can catch you, I will kill you." I went home. From that day forward, no one bullied me once, not even as an adult.
