"I claim tonight a success!" I giggle.

Everyone else laughs along.

Tonight was our first show of Dear Evan Hansen.

It.
Was.
Glorious.

After a bit of chatting, I decided to head home.

"Guys...I'm gonna head off...but let's have a fun day tomorrow~" I smile.

Everyone agrees and I go walk outside the busy theatre. Of course...I kept getting stopped by fans wanting a playbill signed. Once I was free, I look off across the street. There was an orchard and I thought...Hey why not. I walk a bit until I hear some adults laughter and some...cries? I don't know what I'm getting into...but hell. I was ready to fight if need be.

I turn a corner to see a girl maybe in her early 20's on a tall branch and two men laughing at her.

"Go ahead...Suicidal freak.

I was not okay with this.

"Hey!" I yell out.

The girl almost falls but regains her balance.

"OH SHIT IT'S MIKE FAIS-"

"You don't call anyone a freak. That is rude and I don't approve of behaviour like that."

"Whatever...loser." They lazily walked off.

It wasn't worth it to start up a fight. Once they were out of sight, I go to the tree the girl was high up in.

"Hey...you need help getting down safely?"

"I...um..I..."

Oh my god! She was thinking about jumping. I could see it in her eyes.

I climb the tree carefully and soon get to her height.

"Don't jump. You'll only break your arm." I tell her.

She sighs and leans a bit towards me.

"Let's get down...Okay?" I smirk.

"O-okay..." She faked a smile.

Adorable.

We got down safely and I saw a bruise on her arm.

"Hey...you need a ride home?"

She was shaking. She looked about ready to pass out and also looked really tired.

"I-I uh well I u-usually g-ge-et a tax-xi ride u-um..."

Okay...So a real life...female...Evan Hansen.

"Haha, no it's alright. Taxi's cost a lot anyways. I have a GPS. Shall we?" I ask.

She nods, and we walk to my car. She gets in one side and holds her fists tightly in her lap.

"Hey...um..." I start

She seemed nice. Why the hell not?

"You got a phone? We can text and call whenever that way."

Her hands fumbled with her iPhone as she opened her contacts. I put mine in and she put hers into mine. I put her address into the GPS once she told me and I started driving. It felt kinda awkward so I started up a conversation.

"So what do you do for a living?" I ask.

"I-its...kind-da stupid u-um I-I write musi-musicals..."

My heart fluttered.

"Really?! I am in a musical right now!" I say, happily.

She seemed to smile honestly.

"Connor Murphy...right?" She doesn't stutter.
