Chapter 24: A New Start

2 and a half years later

I believe in second chances and new beginnings. After Graduation, stuff moved so fast. It was like my life was in a world wind.

We were finally able to handle the person that shot Michael. Turns out it was a power play organized by Tyga.

We got his ass not too long after.

Turk was able to make amends with everyone. It took Michael a long time, though.

I had to beat Shan ass one good time before she got the picture. After that me and Keisha cut her off. Family reunions will be chilly from now on.

Me and Michael, decided to merge empires. Now called Diamond Kingdom.

Everything was going great, until it wasn't.

I wanted to go to college and Michael didn't. Which was fine but he didn't want me to go either.

His exact words were "What's the point of spending money to go to some stupid ass school to get a degree to make make good money, when we making good money right now."

He didn't seem to understand when I told him, we couldn't always be attached to this life. We had to have some type of cover. We were too young to be running shit like we were for people to not stop and take a look.

I wanted to get a degree and start more businesses. Make our empire at least look legit.

He couldn't see that.

It eventually led to this big blow out between us when I got my acceptance letters to school. He said, "If you not gone be present and help me run shit, you might as well go off to Harvard."

That's right I got accepted into Harvard University. An Ivy League on a full scholarship and that's all he had to say to me.

Not "Congratulations, baby!", "I'm so proud of you baby!"

He basically told me to leave.

So that's what I did.

I left Turk in charge of my side of things and went to school. Hoping that he would eventually get the picture.

That's not how shit went.

He blocked me on everything the moment I checked in to my dorm room.

That was two years ago, now.

Me and everyone else still kept in touch. So I was still able to work with Turk on my side of things to make sure stuff ran smoothly.

It also meant I was able to keep up with the moves he was making. Especially when it came to him dating Shan.

I know y'all paused, I did too. But now it's really fuck him.

I'm prepping for Graduation now. By the grace of God, I've been able to graduate early with my Bachelor's in Business Administration.

I thank God everyday for Principal Edwards forcing me to take AP and Dual Enrollment classes throughout high school.

Now it's time for me to takeover and create an even bigger Empire.
