Jason's POV
The afternoon went pretty well. I spent the whole time cuddled up with Piper in bed. We nibbled on some snacks while watching Netflix, wasting the time away.
After binge-watching the first season of Breaking Bad, we decided to take a break since the sun was already beginning to set.
Hand in hand, we stepped out of the building and headed towards a nearby café. She leaned her head on my shoulder, allowing me a whiff of her rose-scented hair. It was slightly intoxicating, but I still found myself gravitating towards the brown sea of hair.
It was a perfect evening. The gentle night breeze blew gently against my face. My hands were interlocked with hers. If Hera took away my memory again, this single night would be sufficient to keep me sane.
The way the moonlight reflected off her luscious hair. The way her cheeks flushed whenever I complimented her. The way her eyes reflected every possible colour of the spectrum.
An old Greek legend states that when Prometheus shaped Man from clay, we had two heads, four arms and four legs. However, the Gods felt that we would be too powerful, so they split us into two halves. That way, a person would have one head, two arms and two legs instead. It is said that we spend our entire lives searching for our other halves; our soulmate.
As I walked with Piper, I felt more certain that she was the one. Sure, we had our ups and downs. We beat ourselves up over arguments and disagreements but at the end of the day, we still cherished and loved each other. Every couple has arguments. A hallmark for a couple built to last is one where they have been through thick and thin and still stuck together.
The night sky glittered overhead and stars began to flicker in and out of existence. Piper practically dragged me into the café and immediately went to order a cup of milk tea.
She seemed a little flustered as she sipped on the warm beverage, her eyes refusing to meet mine. I was taken aback by the sudden change in her mood but waited until she finished her drink before asking her what was bothering her.
"So...what's up?", I asked nervously, my apprehension rising like a tidal wave. She flinched at the question and I started to apologise for being intrusive.
"Stay with me please let's move in together," she blurted out in a single breath. Her left hand was trembling uncontrollably while her right hand was fidgeting with the cup handle. Seeing her nervous made me nervous.
But, this was Piper. If I had to put my faith and absolute trust in someone, it would be her.
So, as we headed into the next chapter of our lives together, I held her hands gingerly and looked her straight in the eyes.
"Yeah, let's do this."
Magnus' POV
The preparations for the wedding were almost finished. It was a simple one, per Alex's request. It was a small event to be held at the guest room balcony on Floor Nineteen of Hotel Valhalla.
He only allowed a few people to attend it; said he wanted it not to be too extravagant. That was completely fine with me. Other than Annabeth, Hearthstone, and Blitzen, Floor Nineteen was my only family. Thus, not many people were invited.
Mallory Keen would sit with Halfborn Gunderson, Samirah al-Abbas with Amir Fadlan, Hunding with Thomas Jefferson Junior, Hearthstone with Blitzen, and of course, Annabeth with Percy. Jack was my best man/sword and Sam was Alex's bridesmaid. We sent out invitations to Sif and Frey too, but their appearance would not be confirmed. They were Gods after all. Blitzen was afraid Freya would come but she said that she would be too busy looking over Fólkvangr. I should be disappointed, but I did not really care much about my aunt's appearance.
