Percy's POV

OwlHead127: Hey! I'm at the airport now! What's up?

OwlHead127: Oh my Gods I have a total jackass of a neighbour. I can't believe my luck.

OwlHead127: I don't know what to do Seaweed Brain.

OwlHead127: I see his eyes and I feel like I kind of want him back. It feels like the first time I had met him. His messy hair and charming smile.

OwlHead127: Do you ever feel that way about your ex?

OwlHead127: I'm not sure where you are but I hope you read these messages soon; I really need some advice.

OwlHead127: I'm going to do something really dumb that I might regret. Wish me luck, please.

OwlHead127: I just came back from going to knock on his door but no one answered. I swear to Styx I heard some rustling inside the house though.

OwlHead127: Was he avoiding me on purpose? Was it even worth it to keep pursuing the truth? I had a shaky history with him and I'm not entirely sure I want to relive the experience. Then again, I need to know what happened.

OwlHead127: I know it's your break now. Please reply when you see this. I hope you're alright and nothing bad befell you.

I scratched my head and reread the messages.

Okay, she met up with her ex and lives beside an asshole. Also, she wants to get back with her ex.

I winced at the thought of getting back together with my ex. There was too much baggage and pain whenever I see her. If OH's ex was a jackass, I would not want her to be with him. She deserved someone who would treat her right at all times.

Then again, I wanted to get back with Annabeth, but according to my mentality, it was not a good idea. I had an internal debate with myself on how to formulate an appropriate response that would be helpful.

Something was nagging at the back of my mind. It felt like I was missing a crucial detail somewhere, somehow. I read the message for the fourth time as I sharply gasped.

Styx.

She mentioned Styx.

She was a demigod too.

BlueMarlin188: Sorry, I was caught up with other issues that I did not check my laptop over the weekend :c

BlueMarlin188: I would give him a shot, though the rustling in the house seems pretty sus to me. Perhaps you could spend more time to know him better? Maybe he changed his ways or had some life-changing experience since you last met him. Sounds pretty cliché but I think it's worth a shot.

BlueMarlin188: If he hurts you in any way though, ignore him. Move on. You deserve better. Or I'll come and beat him up for you.

BlueMarlin188: I'm glad you're in New York though. I officially welcome you to the heart of America! Maybe one day when I'm not pestered by Lucy or marking assignments we could meet up for a coffee or something.

I hesitated as I noticed the light above her name turn green. I assumed she was reading my messages, so I had little time to make a decision.

"Screw it," I whispered to myself and typed out a quick message before she could reply.

BlueMarlin188: Also, Styx? Are you a fellow half-blood?

I pondered whether half-blood or demigod was a better description of who we were. I decided on half-blood just in case she was not actually a demigod. It would be easier to explain a half-blood as of mixed blood instead of trying to explain and lie about what a demigod is.
