"Come up to meet you, tell you I'm sorry,
you don't know how love-" there was a loud hiccup "-ly you are..."
"Luke, you've had the hiccups for like, a week now," Hannah rolled her eyes.
"It's not my fault!"
"You'd think as a singer, and a homosexual, you'd be able to control your throat a bit better?" She asked, raising her eyebrows tauntingly.
"Hush," Luke sighed, "really, you're quite a pain sometimes."
"I know," she chirped, heading off to the kitchen.
"Seriously, winter break was one of the best ideas that anyone in schooling has ever had ever," Calum groaned, opening the door with a bunch of groceries under his arms.
"Hey, Mikey, why aren't your parents around much?" Luke asked, seeing the boy enter the house behind Calum.
"I dunno. They just aren't home much. Just out, y'know, livin' la vida loca or whatever."
"Ah," Luke nodded, his question not really answered but answered in a way that made Luke laugh, so he thought it was okay.
Calum threw all the groceries on the ground.
"Um, you gonna get that?" Luke asked, still hiccuping between every other word.
"No," Calum laughed, laying on the couch with another groan.
"Lazy ass," Luke grunted, picking up the grocery bags with Michael's help, carrying them in to the kitchen where Hannah was busy making some pancakes.
"You're always making pancakes."
"I know."
"Why?"
"They fill the hole in my heart. I just really like pancakes, I don't know."
"Seriously, girl. You've got to stop eating pancakes."
"Don't tell me what to do, I'll pull some Irish, leprechaun ninja stuff."
"Oh, sure, right. I'll remember to keep my distance."
-
Later that day, when Luke, Calum, Michael, and Hannah were lounging on their couch, Luke's phone buzzed in his pocket.
Annoyedly, he fished it out and answered the call from Ashton.
"What, hon?"
"Where are you? Luke, where the fuck are you?"
"Michael's house, why?" He glanced at his friends, who looked at him worriedly.
He hushed them.
"I need you, now," Ashton whispered, "like, now."
"Why now?"
"Luke."
Of course, Ashton thought, Luke wouldn't understand what he was hinting at.
"Look, Hemmings, I'm hard as fuck and nobody's around to take care of it."
Luke's cheeks flushed with red.
"I'll be home in a little bit."
-
When Luke explained the situation to his friends, they immediately disapproved.
"Just stop dating him?" Hannah suggested. Luke glared.
"I'll stop liking Ashton when you stop liking Michael."
