No. 9: Fort Worth (1950)

On April 9, 1950 (nearly 53 years, to the day, after the Aurora sighting and a mere three years after Roswell), there were several accounts of UFO sightings in Fort Worth, Texas. Commonly referred to as the “Fort Worth sightings,” a UFO was documented as being “sighted and photographed at 5:30 p.m.,” according to sources, although critics of the photos claim the UFO images were simply “crimps in the negatives.”
