Roses

Chapter 1-day one

*Friday October 5th 1997*

When I get home from school I see that my mom and dad are both still not home, there probably still at work.

As I walk into the kitchen I see a note on the refrigerator

Hey rose,me and your dad have to go on a business trip, we'll be gone for two months, sorry we couldn't wait till you got home but there's 2,500 dollars in the case under my bed for you, hopefully it will last until I get home

Love mom

As sad as it sounds, I'm used to my mom and my dad leaving to go on trips, and two months is nothing, once they were gone for a whole year, she left me 50,000 dollars then. I don't know why she keeps leaving me money, I'm perfectly capable of getting a job

After I read the note I decided to go in my room and take a nap

*thumb* I hear a loud noice in my room and I jump up

As I look around my room I realize that I'm not able to see anything because its pitch dark. The only light I have is coming from my alarm clock. As I look at my alarm clock I see the time "10:37" I say to myself

*thump* I hear another sound coming from in front of me and shuffling

"Who's there" my voice shaking "I have a gun"i lie

But the person doesn't say anything, instead I hear a little more shuffling and then everything goes quiet

After about 2 minutes I decide to get up and then the turn lights on. As soon as I turn the light on I see that my window is wide open and there a note on my door with a rose attached to it

"Rose are red

Violets are blue

You're windows open

I'm watching you

Your parents are sleep

And so are you

I'm in your bedroom

Watching you"

After I read that note I immediately get chills and flip over to the back

"Hope you love my poem sweet heart. I have a confession Rose, I'm your stalker, I've been stalking you for years and I'm tired of waiting for you rose, and I have one request. If you want me to stop sneaking into you're  room at night and to find out who I am, then I suggest you to listen carefully, I need you to find five roses, the one you holding in your hand now is number one, you have four more to go. Each rose is attached to a note that will lead you to the next rose. You have 10 days to find all 5 roses, if you don't find them all in time, I will kill you and I will kill everyone you love. Each note has a riddle to figure out where the next one is, your smart so i know you'll figure it out, your time starts now"

As I turn around too see that there's another note on my dresser

"You can sit on me
You can play on me
You can practically spend all day on me
You can swing on me
You can hang on me

What am I

Location: something that helps me breathe your beautiful sent

"What the hell is this" I say to myself

Just calm down, everything gonna be alright

I decided to call my bestfriend over

"Hey red, what's up" chad says once answering the phone

"Um.....hey chad, are you busy" I ask

"Nope why"

"I need you to come over ASAP"

"Is everything alright"

"Yea....No I need you to come over, I can't explain it over the phone, just please hurry" I beg him

"Okay, I'll be over in 5" he says right before hanging up

"Hey red" chad says as he climes through my window

"Hey chad, you know you could have came in through the front door, no ones home" I laugh

"And what's the fun in that" he smirks and sits on my bed "so what's up,"

"Well I got a note"

"You called me all the way over to tell me you got a note " he asks sounding annoyed now

"Well you won't believe where it was, I found it on my room door" I explained "look" I hand him both of the notes and let him read them

"What the heck" chad says After he finished reading the notes

"Yeah, and the worst part is I don't even know where to get the second not from" at this point I can't hold back the tears "I'm going to die, and my parents are going to die, and it's going to be all my fault"

"Don't say that"chad says hugging me "your going to be okay, I know you are" and we're interrupted by a loud noise coming from my window

"Would you hurry the hell up" Chads older brother Jax says as he climbed through the window

"Didn't I say Wait in the car" chad says now releasing me

"You don't tell me what the fuck to do, and it's my car so I can leave it when I want" he says laughing "now come on" Jax says pulling chad

"I'll be back tomorrow" chad says before leaving out the window

"See ya later tulip" Jax laughs and jumps out the window

"It's rose" I run over to the window and yell at him but that only makes him laugh harder

After they both leave I lock my window and head back over to my bed and pick up the note

I repeat the poem over and over in my head, where would he be

And then it hits me

"THE PARK" I yell excited

"And the location must be a tree" I smile at myself "I really am smart"

But wait! Which tree?

I think to myself

Oh yeah, and which park

I guess I'll have to check all of them
