CHAPTER ONE: WISH THAT YOU WERE HERE

Angel was sitting on the window sill. A few years ago, Abe easily left and said goodbye to everyone and then trying to catch the hallows. Angel thought he fell on his head to suddenly get out of the shelter. All the more so, because Emma was enamored that she looked to be without any colours. She never liked Abe much, he seemed too cheerful and optimistic for her. Of course, Angel was the most optimistic, but that's all. And when it was a sudden presence at the table that Abe was going from the safety, there was quite a stir. Hugh and Fiona looked like beaten dogs, Bronwyn and Claire began to complain, Olive only looked at her plate. Enoch, well, I think he was the most happy. He always considered Abe the enemy, the reason was of course jealousy because Angel had all her attention on him. It annoyed him.

Angel and Horace looked at each other as if they were calming their minds, which was true, the twin brothers looked at Abe blankly. Milliard, with him it was a bit difficult to know what emotions he had. The worst sight of this evening for Angel was Emma crying. Both girls were the best friends, and the sight of one of them in tears wounded each other.That day Angel knew that even when Abe came back, she would never forgive him.

The view from the angel's window was outstanding. You could see Hugh and Milliard playing soccer. A few days after leaving Abe, they were having fun outside and this sight gave Angel a pleasant feeling in the heart. Each of them was like a family for Angel, maybe except Enoch because he irritated her for some reason, so when she saw their happy  she smiles involuntarily. And the sight of her brother, Horace, as a judge with a book about clothes, always spoils her. She loved him with all her heart, and he loved her so much. They were an ideal model for siblings.From the window you can also see Emma, ​​who, though also a little emotionless, knew that she had to do all the tasks, she would give her a small depression, with Enoch next to the tree. Fiona and Bronwyn were not to see from the window, Claire had fun with the twins on a swing. Claire was like a sister to Angel. Sometimes, even Claire calls her mother but she quickly improves when she sees the face of Enoch who I can always tease her.

And Enoch.

He is older than her for a year, and behaves as if he was King Angel. When Angel hurts somewhere, he is always overprotective and behaves as if he is the only one who can touch her. For the first and third time it was nice, even sweet, but when he behaved regularly, it started to annoy her. On the other hand, Enoch only tried to act like a real man. He tried to behave not like a strange boy who animates things and people to kill themselves.

He did not know that Angel thought that this is the coolest perculiarity she had ever seen.

- Angel, where are you?

 Angel as soon as she heard her name, she jumped off the window sill, quickly running down the stairs. She always forgot her task with Olive. She just drowned her thoughts completely forgetting about the real world. Nobody was going to blame her, they wanted to have an imagination like her. So as soon as Olive saw a familiar brown head with the fastest blunt she had ever seen, she knew why Angel did not wait for her.

- Have you forgotten the real world again? Olive asked, smiling with her mysterious smile. Angel, when she is not angry, breathed a sigh of relief.

- I'm so sorry, Olive, I promise that next time I will be waiting for you. I promise with all my courageous heart. - Angel said quickly, not thinking that she said these sentences too soon. She had everything in her nose. Olive must have forgiven her.

- It's all right, Angel. And so I know that this day when you will be waiting for me with a pressed dress will never come. 

Angel quickly noticed that her white knee-length dress was slightly dirty. Angel really thought she would be buried underground. Just to avoid answering, Angel looked at her old watch on her right hand.

- If we do not want to get an answer from Mrs Peregrine, we have to go now. - she said smiling grinningly. Without waiting for an answer, she quickly moved outside. Olive could not be bothered with turning her eyes. She tolerated Angel, but some times she just shrouded her terribly. According to Olive, Angel is too sarcastic. And what Olive is so much about in her co-owner is that she is not afraid to speak her opinion. She remembers the day when Abe came to his first dinner in this mysterious home. Enoch tried to irritate him the most. When he said something very unpleasant, Angel, who had previously suffocated her exuberance to the boy, got up from her chair and pointed her finger at Enoch's face, speaking very loudly what she thought about his behavior. Then Enoch realized that Angel attracted him in some way.

Olive always thought that Angel was a very loyal person and that it was a very good feature, but over the past few years she found that this trait might be in the case of Angel, evil.

Angel ran quickly, smiling broadly to everyone around to find shears on the grass. Her task was to cut the grass with Olive every day. Once it seemed boring when you had a lot to do, and some times it was nice to cut the grass with your co-worker when you had nothing to do.

When Angel started to cut the grass, Olive appeared. Angel did not have too much to say to the redhead , because they never had very good realities. It did not mean they did not liked each other, they just could not call each other friends. So Angel watched the match between Hugh and Milliard. Although she shouted that she supports their two, she had sincerely hoped that Milliard would win. Milliard is like a  brother  to Angel ,who also feels the sister's bond between her and him. The first time she saw him, she immediately seduced him. Over time, even others could have thought that they are siblings. Unfortunately, it was not.

She also had a friendly relationship with Hugh, but they did not talk much. And even if they were talking, it would always end with Fiona. Only Angel knows that he has a crush on Fiona. Hugh thinks that only she should know about it, because he is afraid that other girls would give signs to Fiona. With the boys, he could not even talk about it. The only boy who in his opinion also behaves strangely at one particular girl is Enoch, but he will never say anything.

His only rescue is really Angel.
