CHAPTER NINE: CHANGES
It was quiet in Mrs Peregrine's house. After the incident at the beach, Angel and Enoch stopped talking to each other. They really missed each other, but none of them wanted to start a conversation.
Thus, Angel began to meet Millard more and more often, who after listening to the conversation between Emma and Jake, began to spy on the people around him thinking that one of them is definitely one of the hallows.
Every day he and Angel went to a couple of stores to spy on people.
From what Angel could see, Cairnholm has changed, in the present and in the past. Jake told her a few days ago that a strange man came to Cairnholm and was researching birds. Angel knew that people did not come to Cairnholm without a reason. Some do not even know that there is such a place.
If only she knew who this man was, that she would kill him already.
After that, Emma found a ymbryne near the loop that was hurt. From what Angel knew, it was Mrs. Avocet. Angel heard about her, it's Mrs. Peregrine's friend. She knew that Mrs Peregrine, Jake and Emma know something that no one knows, because she saw that Mrs. Peregrine was closing the door to her office.
It really pissed off Angel.

One day, Mrs. Peregrine decided to tell everyone that they had to move. After hearing this message, Angel began to protest immediately. This house was her air, and it was impossible to live without air.
Enoch was also mad at Mrs. Peregrine, but suffocated his enmity inside. He did not want Claire or Angel to hear his screams. That's why when Claire was on the verge of crying, Enoch went to her and tried to cheer her up.
One day after packing suitcases to escape the evil people, Angel decided to go around Cairnholm. She knew that this will be the last time she sees this house, this area and that in a few hours the loop will not exist, so she hoped that she would remember this place forever.
As she walked around the neighborhood at the exit of the loop, she thought about her friends. Will they still be together? She knew everything could happen, anything could kill them. All she knew was that Emma would be sad again. Jake probably has no intention of leaving his family who loves him, so they will have to escape without him.
After a few minutes, she heard a voice that she never heard. Angel quickly and nimbly hid behind the tree waiting for him to hear something else. But there was silence. After a few seconds Angel left her hiding looking for people. After a moment she saw a known person.
- Jake?
The boy turned away at once and his eyes said that Angel was about to run away, but Angel ignored her. Angel had more attention to the silver hand that looked like swords at Jake's neck. Slowly she roamed the face next to Jake.
- You will not say hello, girl? - asked a terrible voice from the mouth of Barron who smiled badly. Angel did not move even a millimeter, she just looked with fake bravery at Barron. In fact, she was shaking inside. After a moment, she gained the courage to answer.
- Fool. - she said loudly and clearly so that Barron could hear. He winced and approached Angel with horror. He jerked her arm so hard that Angel moaned.
- You two are coming with me, kids. Mrs. Peregrine will have a little surprise when she finds out she will have to save you.
When Barron led them home to Mrs. Peregrine, Angel approached the boy.
- Why did you come back, Jake? Everyone thought you had already made a decision. - she whispered that Barron would not hear them. Jake sighed.
- It's not my fault that this idiot caught me. I was to sharpen you that the body of a dead man without eyes was found on the island. He ran after me to the loop. It's the guy who suddenly arrived on the island, Angel.
