CHAPTER ELEVEN : MAD WORLD

The children waited for Mr. Barron to come out with Mrs. Peregrine in a cage quietly from the house. Angel approached her brother, hugging him tightly. She thought for a moment that she would not see him again. Jake looked around at the children who were looking scared at the door that Mrs. Avocet had closed. The children knew that they could not stay here because for sure Mr Barron sent his deaf babies to the children. They all took something from rake to hammer. Angel stood close to Enoch, because she felt that he would save her more than Horace.

- Now children, your job is to stay here safely. - Mrs. Avocet said firmly. She looked like a person who could survive everything with what she had in her hand. - Leave the hollow to me.

- I do not want to see any silly moves. Now did you-

Mrs. Avocet did not finish her speech, because the hand of the hollow emerged from the wall and took her with one fell swoop. The children started shouting and Angel quickly found Enoch's hand (the one that did not hold the rake). Jake quickly took the weapon that belonged to Mrs. Avocet and aimed at the hollow. Enoch, who had no idea where the hollow could be, looked very carefully around him. Suddenly everyone heard a crack and the wall was broken which meant that the hollow was in the room. Jake quickly withdrew, and Angel saw that the twins were sweetly hugged in fear.

Then suddenly, Enoch let go of Angel, standing in front of her, as if he wanted to protect her from the hollow.

- Enoch!-  Jake and Angel exclaimed, terrified. Enoch looked at them for a second, not knowing what it was all about and when he turned away, the hollow raised him with his tongue.

Angel started to scream very loud like the rest of the children. Jake again began to complain with the weapon of Ms. Avocet though he could not set the target. Enoch tried somehow to break free from the monster's embrace, but in vain. The hollow began to wave Enoch to the window while smashing it. Jake could not seem to aim at the hollow because he kept moving.

- Come on, Jake! Shoot!- Angel exclaimed, unable to watch as the hollow tried to kill Enoch.

Then Bronwyn opened the door and everyone tried to leave the room where the hollow was. 

 Jake exclaimed that everyone should go up, and everyone followed Emma who was the first to run to the stairs.

Except of Jake, who was still trying to point the arrow toward the hollow, Angel, who just couldn't go without Enoch and tried to help Jake by shouting things that could distract the hollow a little bit longer and Olive, who had no reason to stay in the same room as the hollow, just wanted to be the girl who cared about Enoch more than Angel. 

Angel tried to distract the hollow and watched as Enoch floated around the room in the air. Suddenly, Enoch stopped moving around the room and just floated. Angel realized that this was the moment when Enoch would die. 

- Now, Jake, now! 

Fortunately, Jake hit, which was a shock for Angel, and for a moment she stood still, but then quickly ran to Enoch, who got up quickly. Both of them ran upstairs not waiting for the last ones.

- Get out! - Jake yelled, pushing Olive to move.

 The four of them ran quickly to a room where the children were waiting.

They quickly closed the door behind them.

- It's almost reset. -  Jake said nervously, holding his weapon in his hand. He looked through the window or jumped out of the window. Then he saw the tree.

- Fiona, is there anything you can do with that tree? - he asked looking hopefully to a younger girl. Fiona looked uncertainly at Angel, asking if she should do something. Angel, seeing the girl's uncertain expression, she whispered:

- You'll succeed.

Fiona, picking up her courage again, looked quickly at Hugh who looked at her with the same hope as Jake. Then she looked at Jake. - Yes.

Fiona quickly rode on her ass on wet tiles stopping at the end of them.

- Be careful.

- Let's go! Quickly!

Angel became more and more stressful. What if something happens to them? And what if they can not find Mrs. Peregrine anymore?

Enoch, feeling the tension at Angel, shook harder Angel's hand smiling questioningly. Angel looked at this peculiar boy with her big eyes. She let out a big sob.

- What if we do not make it, Enoch? Mrs. Avocet is probably dead, and she was an adult person. And we? We are still children! How are we gonna deal with it ?!

Enoch quickly silenced her by covering her mouth.

- We'll make it, Angie. I believe it. I believe that we will all manage somehow. In addition, you survived a fall of 4 meters in height.

Angel smiled slightly, eyeing her emotion at Enoch. She promised herself that she would never show any emotion to this boy. But during the last few days she showed them a lot. And she felt pretty good about it.

This beautiful moment interrupted the door slamming which meant that the hollow was trying to get into the room somehow.

Emma jumped out of the window waiting for the twins. Everyone quickly followed Fiona. Enoch followed as he caught Angel who, with a soaked dress, took Enoch's  hand again.

Fiona quickly found herself near the tree to use her power. After a few seconds, the tree sprouted so long that everyone could go on it and land safely on the tree.

Suddenly they heard the door slamming, meaning that the hollow had been able to break through the door. Hearing someone breaking the window, Angel hurried at her pace pulling Enoch. Jake, who was the only one who saw the hollows, shoot the hollow, but it was still alive.

Everyone could hear that the planes with the bombs were really near. When Angel and Enoch jumps from the tree Angel saw that the bomb fell from the plane and was heading to fall on the house. And Jake and Emma hadn't jumps yet from the tree. 

- Emma, Jake, hurry up! 

When Emma saw that the bomb is gonna to fall everytime now, she put off her boots and took Jake around her before the bomb could fall on the house. 

The bomb fell on the house before someone could say something. Angel felt that everything is gone. Her memories in the house burned down. Everything burned down. Enoch held her hand really tight like he was afraid that the view could harm her more than it already did. 

Everyone saw that the sky changed really fast, and in a few seconds the house was beautiful and normal, and after that the house burned and was totally destroyed. 

- The loop closed. - Angel whispered and hugged Enoch.
