Ok, so this is the longest dream that I've ever had that I can remember.
At first it was like I was the character Hat Kid from the game A Hat In Time, but I was still me in the dream, and I was traversing the DLC Seal The Deal Artic Cruise level. But then there was a monster in there and I had to escape. I did escape and then I looked around to see that the thing I was in was a giant metal ball in the middle of a clearing in a forest.
Then my focus shifted so I was focusing on these things that were like personality cores from the Portal games. But they weren't canon cores, more like OCs. One was a design for a Rattman core I saw on Tumblr and he was called "Anxiety Core" and he was connected to a companion cube, but... If a robot can be unconscious, he was unconscious. He was being tugged along by this other core who had no name but had grey pants for some reason and he used the ball/facility's dismissal/rejection of Anxiety Core to escape as well. That is where he met me and my focus shifted back to my point of view.
The nameless core and I decided to explore to see if we could find anything and we found my little shoulder bag with some money and my phone inside and this living glass of orange juice. Also the nameless core didn't have pants anymore and had limbs like an object show character. We saw a path and decided to follow it. The nameless core and the glass of orange juice sat on my shoulders and I tugged along Anxiety core because he hadn't woken up yet.
We followed the path to a pair of lakes and in one of the lakes there was a small merboy and his pet shark that acted like a dog. There were also other people there and a cafe but something told me to not interact with them unless necessary. So no I didn't ask where I was. I bought a chocolate cupcake for 5 bucks though. After eating we went back out and saw that the merboy and his dog-shark were in trouble. So I somehow got my laundry basket from out of nowhere and got it to hold water so we could take them with us.
Then stuff gets a bit fuzzy, so I don't remember exactly what happened, but we ended up at these cool people's house and they let me have this backpack to put everyone in and it felt like nothing on my back so I kinda forgot it was there for a bit. They also let me have a bike to ride home on. I can't ride a bike in real life but I could in the dream. But instead of going down the road like one would expect, I somehow managed to get myself and the bike lost in this weird wedding hall/REALLY strict school that went down several levels and I was just trying to find a way out. Also I was getting chased by The Trunchbull from Matilda. When I eventually found a door to the outside and got out I found myself in the presence of a bunch of kids and the biggest playground structure I've ever seen. Also it was like close to dawn in the dream. The kids and I made a plan to do something to The Trunchbull and I gave the backpack to them and they all left to go to safety except for this one girl who had crinkly blonde hair who hid and watched. I ended up almost hanging The Trunchbull as the sun came up but I cut the rope before it happened and she ran off.
The girl and I followed after her slowly, passing by other classes of children who were coming out to that playground and others, and we were also singing Regret Message together. We found The Trunchbull in this weird upside down magic area with water as we reached the end of the song and she stabbed herself with what looked like a big pushpin with a purple plastic handle, and then a door opened at the end of the hall and it led to a really bright light. I went through it
Right before I woke up, I heard the voices of the people I met in my dream. They were saying that we'd meet again.
Then I woke up.
