Oxymoron [ Completed ]

True Myth

Forth was shrouded in mysteries. There were numerous rumours and myth circulating about him in school.

Forth was filthy rich.

Forth was extremely dangerous.

Forth had killed a person.

Forth was a stoner.

Forth had a foreign mother.

And many more.

But the one in which the people were most interested was- that Forth was still single.

Some people believed them, some people not. And some wondered how many of them were true.

And Kong belonged to the last category, who wasn't interested in any of those.

If people are that curious, why not go and ask him themselves? He thought.

And he also belonged the category of people, who was not scared of Forth.

After all, he was only a school kid right?

"Kong!!"

Kongpob sighed, "yes May?"

"Are you close with P'Forth?"

"No"

"Are you two friends?"

"No"

"Can you do something for me?"

"No"

"Awww....please Kong"

Thankfully, the bell rang and she went to her seat. Kong sighed in relief. May was one among many who were smitten with P'Forth. They wanted to know about him, but nobody dared asked him.

Specially now, when a new myth started flowing around, that Forth had someone he liked.

Due to some unfortunate circumstances, Kong was spotted with Forth, and people immediately assumed that they were close.

And that's where his troubles started.

People, specially girls, kept bothering him to go talk with Forth for them.

Kong ignored them all. But this May was pretty persistent. And it didn't helped that she was his close friend too.

When will this end? Kong sighed and concentrated on his lessons.

"Ok, fine!!! I will go ask him!! But please stop bothering me!!", Kong said defeated.

A group of girls, led by May had again cornered him to fulfill their demand.

And Kong was so fed up with this that he agreed. Only way to stop these girls from harassing him.

Grinning in victory the girls left his table.

And groaning in frustration, Kongpob rubbed his face and resumed his lunch.

Aim patted his shoulder sympathetically.

Kongpob turned his head to look at Forth's table. They were occupying one at a corner and looking all cool.

Kongpob couldn't make out just what the girls found so attractive about him. Sure he was handsome, but that got nullified by his arrogant personality. Beside, isn't it said that beauty is skin deep and it's the inside that matters.

Suddenly Forth turned his head and smirked. Kongpob was caught staring.
He quickly diverted his eyes.

This won't do. He had to be careful. He doesn't want Forth to think that he was one of his fans.

After school saw Kongpob gingerly making his way towards Forth's hangout place, which was a little away from school, in a somewhat quiet corner.

He could see them from a distance, sitting leisurely and smoking, including Forth.

He braced himself and approached them. And as soon as he was near them, one of them called out,

"Look, look, it's the honour student!!"

Now all eyes were on him.

But something very strange happend too. All of them nudged Forth and giggled.

Yes, manly men, giggling. And Kongpob was a little weirded out.

"P'Forth"

He looked at Kongpob.

"Can we talk"

"Sure"

"Alone"

Forth blinked, but agreed nonetheless.  And Kongpob could swear he heard muffled snickers from Forth's friends.

His brows knitted. What is happening? Probably they are high or something.

Finally Forth got up and walked a little further away from his group, with Kong following.

"So?" He stopped and turned around.

"Do you have someone you like?", Kongpob asked directly without beating around the bush.

Forth looked taken aback and was stunned for a moment. And if Kong didn't knew any better, he would have said he even noticed some color creeping on Forth's cheeks.

But this was Forth. So he smirked,

"Why? Interested?"

"Please P'Forth, just yes or no"

Forth looked thoughtful for a moment and Kongpob wondered if he had many to decide from?

Then Forth looked directly at Kong and answered," yes"

Oh.

"What's she like?"

Forth looked thoughtful again. But this time, he was thinking with his eyes on Kongpob.

"That person is brave"

"Ok"

"........."

"And?"

A mischievous smile spread on Forth's face and he replied,

"And come find me tomorrow to know more"

With that, he left Kong to joined his friends again.

"Oh yes!!" He stopped and turned back.

"Catch!!"

Kongpob quickly extended his hand and caught it. It was a mint gum.

"Bye. See you tomorrow'

Kong snorted, as if. He just hoped that the girls will be satisfied with these information.

So, actually one of the myths was true.
