"What!!!"

"Yes"

May and the other girls bit their lip in disappointment. Whatever chances they had with Forth was even less now.

Kongpob sighed in relief. They won't bother him anymore.

"So, what's she like?"

"He said that person was brave."

The girls looked at him expectantly,

"And?"

"That's it"

"Huh??"

"That's all he told me"

"Kongpob", said May annoyed.

"Yes?"

"Go and ask him more"

"No, am not going"

"Really? I never took you for a man who breaks promises", may taunted.

"What?? I did not"

"Ok then tell me, does your answer satisfy that question?"

"No"

"So?"

"Ok, fine. I'll get an answer to satisfy your curiosity"

"Good", May smiled at him, and looked on curiously as Kongpob sipped his drink.

"What?"

"Go now"

"Now?"

"Yes", she said and motioned him to go.

Kongpob turned his head to Forth's direction. Currently they were at the cafeteria. And Forth was sitting with his usual entourage.

With one last look at May, he went to their table. And immediately caught their attention. Their chatter stopped and they looked at him.

"Mind if I joined you guys?"

"Ofcourse not, sit", said a friend of Forth and made a place for him opposite to Forth.

Their chatter resumed and they continued eating. But strangely, with Forth being silent.

Kongpob felt awkward. He couldn't catch up with their conversation. And he haven't even bought his lunch to eat that, just to feel a little less awkward. So he silently sipped his drink. Thinking of ways to ask Forth again.

Then Forth cleared his throat and asked him,

"You ate?"

"No, I was just gonna buy it", said Kongpob getting up.

"Sit, I'll get it for you", said Forth getting up.

Kongpob stood there, a little confused, blinking his eyes and looking at Forth go.

Why would he do that?

He sat down again. And waited for Forth to come back.

"So Kongpob", said one of Forth's friend.

"Yes?"

"To what joy we owe your presence to?"

"Err...I want to talk with Forth"

"Why? Not us?", He asked slyly.

"Ofcourse, you all too", he lied and threw a charming smile.

Kong felt a little foolish. He didn't knew he had to lie too. He was looking for something to say next, when a plate of fried rice was placed in front of him. And Forth took his seat again.

Kong's hunger intensified as the delicious smell hit his nose. A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth, which increased as he looked at Forth and thanked him.

Kong had wanted to eat just that. Earlier, he was standing in the queue of that counter itself before May sent him here forcefully.

How did he know?

Forth looked pleased. As if it was just the reaction he was expecting. But why would he want to please him?

Kong looked down and concentrated on his food.

"So?", Asked Forth after some time.

Kong looked up," huh?"

"You wanted to ask something?"

"Tell more about the person you like"

Forth looked amused and chuckled. He nodded his head then replied,

"That person is very good looking. Perhaps the most I have ever seen"

"Oh"

"........"

"And I suppose, I'll have to come back tomorrow to know more"

Forth smiled, " you learn fast"

Kong sighed and ate his food. He talked no more. But just listened to the conversations going around.

And surprisingly, their talks were on the most mundane of things. About their families, their girlfriends, their studies.

How they were almost late in the morning, how they missed their breakfast.....and so on.

And the teasing and pushing and pulling, which the close friends indulge in.

While eating, he observed each of them. Right now, they were looking just like other students. No delinquents, no thugs. And then his eyes finally landed on Forth.

Kong must agree, he was the handsomest man he had ever seen. So, ofcourse, his love interest would be stunning too.

He didn't knew he was staring at Forth until Forth turned his head to look at him, and their eyes met. With Forth's eyes filled with mirth.

"So you find me handsome?"

"Does it matter?", Kong replied calmly but fidgeted internally.

Forth murmured something which he was unable to hear.

Then the bell rang and they got up to go.

"See you tomorrow", Forth said and left.

Kong too made his way towards class. He had started to feel a little guilty as he had started realising something.

In some way, he too was no better than others.
