I had to split this chapter into two parts. Second part will be up soon.

“Bad Girls Have Bad Secrets.”

The Forty Sixth Secret —
Invasion.

"That's it." Edwards voice cut through the silence, "That's the plan?"

We were in the woods, cars parked in the darkness of the trees and camped out in a small clearing. It was safest for us to be away from people— people who could be hurt by the ruthless gangsters hunting us. We'd managed to lose them, and made our way to safety.

Caleb and Stephan were alive. For their survival, we were to turn ourselves in; as expected. We all knew it was a lie. There would be no survival as long as Alekkos Drakos was in charge.

"I'm for it." Rabekah said, eyes hard. She wrung her arms around her legs, rocking back and forth slightly. The night was cold and dark, but quiet enough for us to hear if anyone was approaching. "As long as we get them back. I'm not losing another brother."

I lowered my head. In those moments, the grief on her behalf from each of us was clear in the air. I felt a new sense of respect towards her. Throughout her life, she'd lost a grandparent, both parents and her younger brother, who she felt responsible for, as a mother over her child. Now, Caleb's life was on the line, and she was handling it better than expected.

"Surprise is the advantage we have," Renato mumbled, "But what if they expect that from us? What if they are waiting for us to storm in?"

Shane leaned his weight against me, sighing so quietly that only I caught it. I allowed him to lay his head against me, offering my comfort through touch.

We had to get Stephan back. There was no way I'd allow him to die.

"We have no other choice," I said, "We'll enter through the sides. Wherever possible." It was to our advantage that their base was on a farm, with many entrances. Climbing over walls was easy.

"Shane and Chaisai will cut the electricity and you'll have to hide fast," I said to him, and he gave a nod, jaw clenched firmly, "because a bunch of them will be sure to head over there. Reconnect those wires as soon as our presence is known.  Renato, you're the only one whose used rifles before. You'll be our sniper. Edward, you'll be with him. Demetrius—" he turned his attention to me through sleepy eyes, "— you'll be the first one there. You'll have to leave the back door unlocked for Rabekah and I."

"Side door," he corrected, "That's closest to the vents. If you travel through them, you'll come out to the corridor leading to my uncle's office."

"And if we're caught before that?" Rabekah asked, sifting through the bag of weaponry. She pulled out the thermal goggles and handed them to Renato. He'd need them to be able to see at night.

"Fight your way through," Shane responded, "We don't have time for weakness."

I nodded, "The second we get to Alekkos, we'll lock ourselves in with him. With him as our hostage, they'll stand down while Demetrius gets Caleb and Stephan out. Shane and Chaisai will have to be backups."

"Renato, you'll take out that piece of shit the second we get to the car," Shane said, "Then Vicky and Beckie can get out through the window."

Rabekah brushed his nickname aside and muttered, "I wish I could kill that son of a bitch myself."

"Everyone have anything to add?" Shane asked, looking around. He was met with a silence that stretched out nerve wrackingly.

"If I die, get my body out if you can," Rabekah's voice was a bitter murmur, "Don't leave me there."
