Annabeth's POV
It has been three years since Percy left but I still feel empty inside. I miss him so much. I don't think that he actually did any of those things. I regret everything I ever said to hurt him. I regret everything I did to hurt him. He has my head messed up. I love him so much that I haven't been able to do anything right since he left. Its all my fault. I wish I never betrayed him. I just wish I could see his face once more. I wish I could gaze into his eyes and kiss him. If only-
My thoughts were interrupted when my sword clattered out of my hand. I had forgotten that I had been teaching sword fighting. The newest member of Camp Half-Blood had been learning from me and I dropped my sword. Cameron, Poseidon's daughter, was the most powerful demigod at camp but would be nothing compared to Percy. "And your supposed to be the best person with swords? If you are then I would hate to see this camp in battle." I shook my head.
"I was the second best before I started getting weighed down by a guilty conscience but no I wasn't the best. The best was my boyfriend Percy Jackson. He was a son of Poseidon and he was the most powerful demigod here before he left."
"You lost your edge Wise Girl." a familiar voice said behind me. I turned and a my eyes met with a familiar pair of sea-green eyes. I saw a demigod behind him. My jaw dropped. He rolled his eyes, "Why is everyone trying to catch flys today?" Before I could ask what he meant a crowd gathered to see who was here.
Everyone's eyes widen and the campers that had come to camp in the last three years said in union, "That's the guy that brought me here."
Everyone turned to stare at the newer campers. So Percy was the mystery man who kept rescuing demigods. The famed Shadow, End, The fearless Warrior, The Hidden Killer, The Guardian Angel, The Rescuer, and multiple other titles. That was Percy.
"So I have a question. Where is Ethan Nakamura?" Percy said it with a deadly calm tone. I began to tremble. The crowd parted and Ethan appeared looking smug. Percy calmly walked towards Ethan. Ethan looked confidently up at Percy. Ethan had become the best swordsman because he always distracted his opponent with a thrown knife.
"I challenge you to a duel. I am better than you now and I can prove it. Also you are very predictable. I know you are going to use Riptide because you have no other blade." Ethan expected Percy to flinch or show any sign of terror but Percy started laughing. Ethan looked confused and Percy just laughed harder.
"That is where you're wrong Ethan. What do you think I have been doing these past few years. Sitting under the sea? Oh and Riptide isn't my only blade. Your in for a surprise."
Everyone including me stood there shocked and confused. What were his new blades? Why would Ethan be shocked? Who would be shocked more Percy or Ethan? I guess we'll find out later.
