3rd person POV

Percy and Ethan stood on opposite ends of the arena. Ethan was in amour. He was wearing a breastplate and helmet. He had a sword sheathed around his waist and two knives for throwing. Percy had no amour on. He was messing with some powder on his palm. Percy pours the powder into a bottle in his pocket.  He looked up and remarked, "That amour won't help you one bit Ethan." Then he looked down and fixed his cloak. Percy stood up straight and said he was ready. Percy had this deadly calm stance while Ethan's stance nervous and a little scared.

They walked to the middle of the arena."When I win you have to admit that I am better and that you are nothing compared to me. I will also get Riptide."

"Slow down young swordsman. You have not won yet and if I win then you will have to admit to what you did to ruin my life." Percy didn't look worried at all as they retreated to their corners. Percy turned around and they faced each other.

Annabeth approached the swordsmen. "Ready! Set! Duel!" Annabeth retreated and Percy stayed where he was. Ethan on the other hand threw a knife directly at Percy's face with all his strength. Percy caught it in between his fingers and flicked it back towards Ethan. The blade moved so fast that Ethan couldn't block it and it got deeply embedded in his shoulder. Percy moved back to his spot. Ethan rushed him but before Ethan could step forward , Percy reached into his coat and threw a dagger at Ethan's other shoulder. This time pain erupted from the wound. He could feel his shoulder burning.

Everyone in the crowd gasped. Percy had thrown that dagger with so much strength that it had hilt deep into Ethan's shoulder. When Percy's blade had embedded itself into Ethan it erupted into flame. Percy calmly walked over and yanked the dagger out of Ethan. The fire continued to burn and Ethan screamed. Percy pulled out the bottle out powder. He dipped his fingers into it and created a ball of water. He clasped his fingers and ran his hands along his arm to his elbow and then made a circle in the air. He dragged the heel of his hand along his other hand and held up his hand up .(A/N: Sorry if the description was confusing. He basically did what Po did in King Fu Panda 3.) The ball of water floated towards Ethan's wound and flooded over it. The powder mixed into the water and absorbed the fire. The water healed Ethan's wound but it didn't take away his pain.

Ethan began to stir and Percy pulled out Riptide. Percy pointed it to Ethan's throat and declared, "I win. Time to keep up your end of the deal." Ethan coughed and then sat up. He shook his head defeated.

"Fine." Percy created a mist and Ethan threw a drachma in it. "Iris show everyone what actually happened." Everyone saw Ethan messing everything up and blaming Percy.

At the end of the message everyone was sorry for assuming that Ethan was right. Percy didn't mind. Finally once all the catching up was Ethan asked the question everyone had been wondering, "Where did you get that blade? How did it do that?"

"Like I said, I wasn't sitting under the sea. I forged these blades from celestial bronze, imperial gold, silver, and stygian iron. They are hollowed out and filled with water from the five rivers of the Underworld. You just met Phlegethon, liquid fire. And your lucky I didn't grab Lethe. That one is harder to reverse."

"That's what you did with the powder and water. You reversed the affects of the dagger. How did you learn that."

"Experience. I have been training with my pack."

"Your pack?"

Percy walked away before the campers could ask any more questions. Ethan sat on the ground looking shocked and dazed.
