Chapter Twenty-Seven

It's been two days since my little breakdown out on the balcony but honestly I think it did our relationship good. I knew Kendall loved me, and I him, but it gave me some reassurance and made me realize that he was just as serious about our relationship as I was. I smiled to myself as I finished packing my suitcase and relived the memories of the past few days.

The day after my incident Kendall and I just had a little us time. We went out to lunch with thankfully only a handful of people recognizing Kendall. Then I hung out in the studio while Kendall and Dustin worked via Skype and we ended the night with dinner and a movie at home.

The next day was New Years Eve and we went over to my parent's house to ring in the new year. We had a fun little family party complete with sparkling grape juice and a New Years kiss from my favorite guy ;) We even got to FaceTime Kendall's family out in LA as they had a party of their own.

Now today's the day we leave for Mexico and we're already about to be late for our flight. I heaved the suitcase off the bed and lugged in down the stairs. I placed it by the door as I saw Kendall fixing us each a cup of coffee.

He was literally the best guy I could ask for. Not to mention extremely handsome, even with his baggy gray sweatpants hanging off his nonexistent butt. I laughed a little as I thought about that last part.

Kendall noticed and walked over to me, handing me my coffee. "What's so funny?" he asked.

"You," I said as I bit my lip looking at him, "You're just so darn cute!"

"Well you're pretty cute yourself," he said kissing my forehead, "You ready?"

"Yeah! Let's go or we'll be late!" I said as I grabbed his hand and drug him out the door, him grabbing our suitcase as we went.

*after arriving in Mexico*

"Look at this place!" I exclaimed. "It's amazing!"

"I definitely won't mind living here for the next few days" Kendall commented as he threw himself down on the couch.

"Let's buy a villa like this the next time we need a house" I said as I sat on his lap, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"You got it dude" he said as he kissed me. I started to laugh as I heard footsteps coming from down the hall. "Who's that?" I questioned looking at Kendall.

My question was soon answered as James and Logan appeared from the hallway. "Hola amigos!" they shouted as they held their arms out.

I jumped up off of Kendall's lap and ran into their outstretched arms, wrapping my arms around their necks in a hug. "Hey guys! I missed you" I squealed.

"We missed you guys too" James said as he let me go. Kendall walked up and bro hugged the guys.

"Hope you two don't mind but we left the back bedroom for you guys" Logan said.

"Ew I don't wanna share a room with him" I complained giving Kendall a look.

Kendall reached over and wrapped his arms around my neck and shoulders from behind as he kissed my cheek. "She'll get over it, thanks guys" Kendall said laughing.

I laughed along with him and kissed him back. "So where's Kev?" Kendall asked the boys.

"Kevin's here too?!" I asked excitedly.

"Yeah," James laughed, "he claimed his room then went out to check the surf."

"Everyone's out there. We were just about to head down too" Logan added.

"Let us get changed and we'll go with you" Kendall said letting me go and grabbing our suitcase.

We walked back into the biggest bedroom in the villa and came back out moments later dressed in out swimwear. "What are we waiting for?" I asked anxiously. With that the boys bolted for the beach and I followed suit.

As we reached the beach I saw Carlos and Alexa set up around a tent with a bunch of their friends. "Celine!" Alexa squealed as she caught a glimpse of me. She ran up to me and hugged me, nearly knocking me down in the sand. "I'm so glad you decided to come!"

"I wouldn't have missed it Lex!" I said hugging her back.

"Wazza?" Carlos said as he hugged me.

"Hey Los! Thanks again for the invite" I said.

"Absolutely! How about we have some fun? Party people!"

"WOOHOO!" everyone yelled in response. I began laughing as I sat my stuff down on the white sand but soon stopped as I felt my feet leaving the warm sand. "Hey! Put me down!" I shouted.

"Not happening" Kendall said as he ran toward the water. "Kendall no," I said as I kicked my legs, "It's gonna be cold!!"

As soon as those words left my lips, Kendall let me go and I plunged down into the water. I felt two hands grab my wrists and pull me up from under the water. "How was it?" Kendall asked with a smirk.

"COLD!" I yelled as I splashed him with the icy water. That led to full out splash war that I won by the way!

After swimming around for a while we all got out for a snack under the tent. The boys ate and went to throw the football around, leaving Alexa and I laying out on the sand underneath the warm sun.

"So you're ready to tie the knot huh?" I asked looking at Alexa.

"Oh my goodness yes! I want these next few days to fly by so it'll finally be the day of the wedding!" she said all giddy.

"I'm really happy for you and Los; you guys are a cute couple."

"Thanks girl. And what about you and Kendall? You two are pretty great yourselves" she said with a little wink.

I shifted my gaze to Kendall, watching him as he caught the football from Logan and threw it down the beach to Carlos. "Yeah," I said smiling, "I guess we are. Things are going really great between us. I'm just a little worried about the tour coming up..."

"Hey it'll be okay" she said as she placed her hand on mine assuringly. "It's not so bad when they leave. The worst part is when you know he's on that plane headed home and there's only a few hours standing between you and him. That's when it's tough" she laughed. "You guys will be fine though. You already have one month under your belt so you're pretty prepared for whatever he throws at you."

"Oh yeah," I said laughing, "He can definitely keep things interesting."

"What are you two laughing at?" Carlos asked as he and Kendall joined us in the sand. "Don't worry about it" Alexa said as she kissed Carlos.

Kendall situated himself between my legs and leaned back against my chest, grabbing hold of my hands with his. He started playing with our intertwined hands, turning them this way and that. "What the heck are you doing?" I asked him.

"Looking at how perfectly our hands fit together" he said seriously. I chuckled a little as he looked at me from the corner of his eye. "Too cheesy?" he asked laughing with me.

"Just a little bit but I loved it. And I love you" I said as I leaned forward and kissed his pink lips.

"I love you too baby" he said as he smiled and looked back over the ocean. We sat like that for a while, talking, joking, and making fun of Logan face planting in the sand as he dove for the football.

As the laughter died down Kendall looked at me again. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else other than right here with you" he said looking at me with those bright green eyes.

"I wouldn't want to be anywhere else with anybody but you either" I said as I pecked his lips.

I don't know why I was so worried about things between Kendall and I not working out. I mean things between us couldn't be better and we were a perfect match. I just hope we can stay this way...
