Kendall and I climbed in the back of Matt's car as he drove us back to our house. "I want to hear all about the tour!" I squealed as I scooted close to him and he grabbed my hand in his.

"It was so awesome. The shows were incredible and the fans were amazing!" he said.

"That's awesome! What's this growing on your face?" I joked as I played with the scruff on his jaw line.

"Not cool! I thought I'd see how I looked with a beard for once" he told me.

"I wanna see the new tattoo!" I told him. He reached for the hem of his shirt and I did too to help him pull it up higher on his back.

"Woah woah woah!" Matt exclaimed looking in the rearview mirror. "I know you guys missed each other but keep the clothes on! Not in my backseat!"

"MATTHEW THOMAS" I yelled as I slapped his shoulder. He and Kendall erupted in a fit of laughter as I sat there with my mouth wide open in pure shock.

"Relax babe," Kendall said playing with my hair, "He's jealous he can't have you that's all." Matt rolled his eyes in the mirror as he continued to drive and Kendall and I continued talking.

Shortly after, we pulled into our driveway, unloaded Kendall's luggage, told Matt goodbye, and went inside. "It feels so good to be home" Kendall said as he plopped down on the couch.

I went to walk past him so I could sit next to him on but he grabbed my arm and pulled me down on his lap. "But this feels even better" he whispered as he placed his lips gently on mine.

I reveled in the kiss as I remembered how it felt to kiss him a month ago; it felt the same. Actually, it felt even better. Maybe the long distance did exactly what everyone said it would do. Maybe it made us stronger together.

I pulled away and smiled, looking into his green eyes. "Please don't go on tour again for a while," I quietly begged, "It was too long to be away from you."

He gave me a sad smile as he tucked a strand of hair behind my ear and kissed my cheek. He opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by the doorbell.

We looked at each other puzzled before I pushed myself up off the couch and walked to the door, Kendall close behind me. I turned the doorknob and opened the door.

"Hi Hi!" my aunt greeted as she made her way inside with my mom and all four kids.

"Uh...hi?" I said as I looked at Kendall. He looked just as confused as I did and shrugged his shoulders as we followed them into the kitchen. "What are you guys doing here exactly?" I asked my mom.

"We figured you guys would be hungry but might not want to go out since Kendall just got home so we brought you some food" my mom explained.

"Thanks Rhonda" Kendall said as he hugged my mom.

"You guys are the best" I told my mom and aunt as I hugged them as well.

"We don't want to intrude so we're just dropping this off and heading out" my aunt said as she tried to round up the kids.

"You guys are more than welcome to stay" Kendall told her. "Yeah we're just hanging out" I added.

"No, no. You guys need some together time. Who knows, Kendall could have to head off again tomorrow" my aunt joked.

I laughed along with her and my mom as I made my way over to Kendall and wrapped my arms around him.

"Like that'll happen" I laughed as I patted his stomach and looked up at him. "Yeah totally," Kendall responded, "I'll walk you guys out."

As they all walked to the door I curiously looked at Kendall. He seemed tense when I hugged him just then and when he laughed it was his nervous/fake laugh. Something was up with him, I just don't know what.

I hopped up on the counter and started picking at the Chinese food in one of the takeout containers. "Excuse you ma'am" Kendall said as he walked back in. He came over and stood between my legs with his mouth open, begging for a bite to eat.

Instead, I used my free hand to bring his chin up, closing his mouth, and kissed him. "That works," he said as he pulled back, "but I really wanted a piece of chicken."

I threw my head back laughing and handed him the other container of food. "Dinner and a movie on the couch?" I asked.

"It's a date" he said as he grabbed the food and kissed my cheek. I grabbed two bottles of water and sat them on the coffee table before picking out at movie. I put Batman in the player and sat down close to Kendall on the couch, my legs draped over his lap.

Before I hit play I decided to ask him what was up earlier. "Is everything okay babe? You seemed kind of...off earlier when my aunt brought up you leaving again."

He swallowed his drink of water before answering. "Oh uh yeah, I'm fine. I just don't want to think about leaving again so soon ya know?" he told me.

I nodded my head and let it slide, but something told me he wasn't telling me everything just yet.

*Kendall's POV*

Shit. I was hoping she hadn't noticed my change in demeanor earlier but I should've known she'd pick up on it. I've only been home for a few hours and already I had to start thinking about to break the news to her.

I glanced at her sitting on the couch next to me; her blue eyes glued to the TV with her glasses on, her hair in a messy bun on the top on her head, and in a pair of my sweat pants and her custom hoodie.

I'd missed our nights like this. Just us, sitting, eating, hanging out, doing absolutely nothing but being together. I couldn't ruin tonight but the longer I wait the harder its going to be.

I was taken out of my thoughts as Celine rested her head on my shoulder and looped her arm through mine, snuggling closer to me. I kissed the top of her head and hunkered down on the couch with her.

Tonight wasn't the right time. Tonight was about us and being together like we were before I had to leave. Only tonight, everything seemed even better than before and I loved every second of it. And I loved being back with my favorite girl.
