Previous (all chapters): NCIS got called for a case on East Ending Street in Washington, address of the house is 240, an all to familiar location to Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Gibbs immediately started barking orders at his team, before he walked over to the paramedics, noticing a girl, the only thing he had left of Shannon and Kelly, on oxygen in the back of the ambulance. "Your in charge until I get back, I want as much information as possible about what happened here. Ziva and I will be taking turns staying the night at the hospital until the girl gets out of the hospital, then she will be staying at my house until other arrangements are made." Gibbs asked a few more questions and then he was done, he asked them anyway even though he knew the answers to most of them. He was happy that he was going to be able to raise Isabella and upset that it took almost 13 years for him to be able to do so. She moved her foot visibly wincing before she relaxed again, "How much longer do we have to be here?" She whispered sleepily. Gibbs looked at her with concern for a second then his normal facial expression covered up any concern so his team and Isabella wouldn't ask why he was concerned.Tony watching him and Isabella the whole time, Ziva and McGee talking about something non-case related. Gibbs slammed his hand down on his desk, startling the young girl who was almost asleep and his team members.

Director Jenny Shepard locked up her office before heading home for the night, she entered the bullpen noticing Special Agent Gibbs was still working on his case. As Jenny walked closer to his desk, she noticed a small figure curled up on the floor asleep. Her heart melted when she laid eyes on the small girl, she felt like she knew her from somewhere but she just couldn't place where. "Jen!" Gibbs' voice knocked her out of her thoughts, she turned her attention to him. "You should go home Jethro, both of you. I think she would be more comfortable in a bed or on a couch than curled up on the floor!" Jenny scolds Gibbs.

Gibbs turns his chair to face her, "Jen! If you have not realized, my team and I have a case that I would like to have solved before this person gets away with murder!" He snapped before gesturing over toward Isabella. "No one; especially her, deserves to go through that much pain and torment (torture). He/She will be found alive or dead!" Jen noticed that look in his eyes this wasn't just a case with a child, he knew that child and cared about her dearly. "Jethro...go home, take her with you and tomorrow you and your team can get straight to work in the morning...that's an order Special Agent Gibbs."

Agent Gibbs reached down and carefully picked up the girl walking to the elevator, with the Director right behind him. They said their goodbyes and went their separate ways. Gibbs layed Isabella down on his couch before he locked his door, something he hasn't done since Kelly was little, he left her crutches next to the couch, along with her wheelchair that Gibbs had borrowed from Ducky.

He went down to his basement leaving the door open and went straight to work on his boat, he was trying to think of who would hurt his family or who would do something like that to a child. He was glad to have his daughter back but he didn't want it to be like this.

Isabella had woke up shaking with fear but she couldn't remember why, she wasn't sure if she had a nightmare or if she remember something that happened to her Aunt and Uncle the night they were killed. She grabbed her crutches carefully getting up, "Gibbs?!" She said her voice sounding shaky, she listened for his voice but she didn't hear anything. She looked around her noticing she was in the living room, she made her way towards the kitchen and called out his name again.

When she didn't hear answers she started to panic maybe all the things that happend and she remembered about Gibbs NCIS and Ziva weren't real. She heard something fall but she couldn't tell where then she heard footsteps they were quiet at first and distant then they got louder and closer. She looked around trying to figure out where they were coming from, breathing heavily when something or someone touched her shoulder.
