Christine Rodriguez thought was everything going to go her way.
Till reality slapped her in the face.
She felt nauseous after draining the doctor. He had dirty blood. But she was parched after searching for him that long. Alex just kept staring at her though- which was unnerving. He didn't look scared and if he was, he had a really good poker face.
"So... you're a human leech?" He raised his eyebrow dissaprovingly and she sputtered.
"Uh... m... what?"
"Or a giant tick? Hmm..." he raised his chin a bit wondering. "A giant tick will be cooler wouldn't it? Or-"
"Why aren't you afraid?" She shrieked and he finally focused on her.
"Oh..." he muttered.
"I guess I don't think you're going to kill me and if you do, I honestly don't care anymore. So, what are you?"She hasn't been so infuriated in her life! He actually didn't show any form of fear. His heartbeat was steady and he was relaxed actually.
"You know what I am." She replied through gritted teeth.
"Why are you getting angry at me?" He asked, perplexed then shrugged.
"Okay, so you're a... Vampire?"
He waited for a response but she just glared at him seething and he nodded."Okay... Vampire. How did you find me?"
"I've been following you for a while-"
"Hold up!" He interjected.
"You've been stalking me? Don't you have a life or something?"She really wanted to smack some sense into his head.
"And..." she continued with the little self-control she had "...I heard your dad talk about your mum. I know everybody in this town but didn't know his relationship..."
she gestured to the decapitated body lying on the floor.
"... with her but I knew he had a place like this. Finding you was a bonus.""Oh okay... why is my family business so important to you anyway?"
She stared at him, mystified. He actually showed no fear. He didn't regard the fact that there was a dead man in front of them. He addressed her like they were the only ones in a locked interrogation room.
But why did she feel like she was the one being interrogated?
"How did you do it?" She forced herself to say.
"Do what?" His stare was a blank one.
"Compell me."
"Compell?"
"Yes, that's what we call the ability to manipulate people. It's not supposed to work on me because, I'm-"
She took a deep breath and let the memories calm down.
"Because, it's not supposed to."
"What are you talking about?" Alex frowned, obviously confused.
"How did you let me forget that Bobby was related to you?""What are you talking about?" His heartbeat was getting faster.
"You don't want to tell me huh?" She inched closer and he started tugging at his bonds.
'He's scared' she finally realized.
He did a really good job at hiding it but, he was scared.Good.
"My breed of Vampire can drain memories from blood." She sat on him. "Meaning-" she took sniffed at his neck.
And waves of desire rushed through her body.
This boy was delicious.
She calmed herself and continued.
"-I don't need you to tell me. I just need to drink from you and I'll find out. So, tell me? Pretty please?"
