Onboard the U.S.S LASTIMOSA...
Pilot's POV

Kraber-AP's loaded, R-97 as well... Same with the RE-R5s. Got my Sonar knife, my weeaboo stars, and a datapick for wallhanging. Phasing controls are working fine, and I have emergency stim and the SMART Pistol, just in case. Kinda wish I had a grappling hook, though.....or even cloaking capabilities. It'd be nice.

Onboard the U.S.S Lastimosa, one of the Frontier Militia's capital ships, I worked on my Titan inside the Titan Storage Bay. A bay that both serves as a Titan repair center and as a Titan deployment area. It was there that I prepared everything for my latest assignment: a scouting mission into an unmarked planet of interest. Neither the Militia, nor the IMC, had any bases built on the planet.....as far as we knew. Putting the last ion battery into the back of my Titan, and connecting everything properly, I jumped off of the metal giant and waited for its A.I to communicate.

Pilot: All systems ready to go?

Tone: YES, PILOT...

Pilot: Good.

Embarking Tone, I buckled up as she began to speak once more about our mission.

Tone: OUR CURRENT MISSION IS TO EXPLORE THE UNKNOWN PPANET WE ARE ORBITING AT THIS TIME.

Pilot: We're already there?

Then Commander Sarah Briggs joined in our conversation via radio communication on my helmet.

Sarah Briggs: Yes, lieutenant, we're already orbiting the planet.

Damn. Rather be asleep.

Pilot: Okay, give me a rundown on what we're doing here in the first place?

Briggs: It's as simple as just scouting the planet out for anything: water, food, organic life.

Pilot: Oh, this'll be good.

Briggs: Was that sarcasm, lieutenant?

No.

Tone: YES, IT WAS SARCASM, COMMANDER...

Thank you, Tone. I just love it when you throw me under the bus like this.

Tone: YOU'RE WELCOME, PILOT...
I APPRECIATE THE COMPLIMENT...

Pilot: Oh for God's sake, everyone's against me.

Briggs: The reason you are going instead of our troops is because of the potential danger of the place. Not because of anything else.

As we waited for the floor to open up, the commander made one last statement.
