THE SOUND OF A LOCK being undone woke up the two twins from their slumber under the old cupboard under the stairs. Y/n and Harry Potter grumble loudly as they hear their Aunt Petunias annoying voice echo through the small room ‒ which wasn't really a room at all, there was only one small bed inside that the twins had to squeeze into and a shelf that held a few of their only belongings. But seeing as they had done it for the past 11 or so years, they had gotten used to it. Well, sort of.

"Up! Get up! Now!" Aunt Petunia smacks the small door leading to their room. Dudley Dursley, a rather plump boy that was the twins cousin, pranced up the stairs, jumping continuously on one of the steps to annoy the two siblings that were trying to sleep peacefully, although that was quite hard due to Uncle Vernon's snoring that the twins were beginning to think shook the house ever so slightly.

"Wake up, cousins! We're going to the zoo!" Dudley said happily. It was his birthday, the day that the Potter twins dreaded so much as they always had to stay at Mrs Figgs, but fortunately ‒ well, not so fortunately, but fortunately for the Potter twins ‒ she had broken her leg. The Potter twins reluctantly got up, making sure not to hurt each other as they squeezed out of the small space. The twins walked into the kitchen along with Dudley.

"Oh, here he comes, the birthday boy!" Aunt Petunia says happily at her son that looked like a perfect replica of Vernon and her. Petunia was a tall, slim-ish woman with dark brown, nearly black hair.

"Happy birthday, son." Uncle Vernon says, sitting at the kitchen table with a newspaper in hand, reading it carefully like he actually cared what they put in there ‒ which isn't true, Vernon couldn't care less, but he liked to rant about the stupid things they wrote.

Aunt Petunia turns to Y/n and Harry who stood in the kitchen, "Why don't you two cook breakfast, and try not to burn anything." She says to the two who just nod, not wanting to get into any trouble that would get them locked up in their room for a week without any meals, which happened more often then you would think. The twins set off to work, Harry grabbing the pan and Y/n grabbing the raw bacon and eggs. Harry starts to fry the bacon while Y/n watched him, so that he wouldn't burn the house down. It was something they had gotten used to, cooking meals, that is. It was common for them to do all the chores around the house. "I want everything everything to be perfect for my Dudley's special day." Petunia says in an sickingly sweet voice.

"Hurry up! Bring my coffee, girl!" Vernon orders Y/n who was busy trying to get the last bits of bacon out of the package it came in.

"Yes Uncle Vernon." Y/n calls, "Watch it, will you? Remember to move it around a little, so it wont burn." She smiles kindly to Harry whom just nodded and gave a wonky smile, trying to focus on not setting fire to anything. Y/n grabbed a mug and made some coffee, placing it in front of Vernon who didn't bother to give a simple 'thanks'.  Petunia and Dudley walk over to the presents. Y/n watched as Dudley practically drooled over the presents.
