Fuck me. Really. Can this day possibly get any worse? Well, worse isn't a good word. I mean, an insanely attractive boy just turned down a grade-A hottie for me, so thats uplifting. Confusing seems like a better word. Now I've realized that I left my fucking history book in the Homework room. Greeeeat!
As I was approaching the room, basking in my teenage drama angst, I heard singing. Not the kind that I usually hear, the off-key, yelling singing, but professional singing. It was really fucking good. As I continued walking, it got louder until I was certain it was comming from the Homework room. Holy shit it sounds even better now.
The person singing had a soft, relaxing voice. Like, I could go to sleep to this shit. How many years of training...?
Focus.
Book.
History.
Shit, they're good.
OPEN THE DAMN DOOR!
I slid the door open, revealing... "Deku?! The fuck?!" The green-haired boy sat on one of the desk, one of his heaphones in one ear and holding a lyric sheet. He looked startled and went red when he realized I had been listening.
"Why the fuck are you so good? Like you're like really, really good. How the fuck did that happen?!" I still can't believe that Izuku Midoriya, Deku, the Glee-obsessed child who's singing off-key every time I enter the room, is that good at singing.
"I-I've always been good. I sing competitively with Uraraka and Tsuyu. That's what I'm practicing." Holy fuck. Guess I can't call him useless anymore. This small boy is a competitive singer? In a group?! THE FUCK?! "I...Fuck Deku that's... Jesus."
Tell him he's good, you idiot.
"You're, uhm..."
Tell him!
"Would you like to listen?"
What?
"Nevermind. You probably have class and-"
"Don't assume things." I cut him off and sat on the desk behind he one he was on. "What song is it?" I asked."Oh, the theme this comp is "Musicals and Movies", something like that. So we decided to do something from a Musical Uraraka likes called Dear Evan Hansen something like that." I've heard of that musical. Mina's obsessed. She calls one of the characters 'my child'? I don't get fangirls...
He did something on his phone before putting it down, taking a breath, and starting.
Ooooooooh jesus, immediate eargasm. I know this song. It's Mina's ringtone and she is POPULAR.
Sweet god. Whatever competition this guy is in, just give him the trophy now.
"Kacchan? Are you alright?" I looked up from the ground I was staring at. "Your face is red." He noted, placing a hand on my forehead and one on his, comparing temperatures.
Of course, I can't handle sudden physical contact, even if it's with A̶d̶o̶r̶a̶b̶l̶e boys with angelic voices, so I slapped his hand away. He nodded and retracted his hand.
I internally groaned at what I was about to do. "Oi, Midoriya," I growled. He looked up at me. "You wanna watch Glee?" His eyes lit up. "D-Don't you have class?" I shrugged. "There was no homework and it's just a lecture. Plus, I'm already 10 minutes late." He smiled that huge smile of his and I turned away to hide the redness that was creeping up my face.
